| Aromatic plant plays an important role in daily lives. Because aromatic plant is the certain type of plant that combines both medical and spice characteristics, it can purify air and beautify the environment. Meanwhile, the volatile flavor compound (VFC) that it releases can often be used for essential oil and other useful stuff. The main research directions of aromatic plant are oil refining and medicine in health care. The study of aromatic plant force on food, pharmacy and cosmetic etc., but it is still at an initial stage in China in garden configuration and plant landscape with larger potential. There is still in the blank in Changsha city yet.In order to discuss the practical application of aromatic plant in garden configuration and plant landscape, this article would be to make a thorough investigation and study on the aromatic plant resources and it application in plant landscape of Changsha for the first time, including aromatic plants species, quantity and importance in plant community, by using Phytocoenology, Ecology and landscape configuration methods. The main results were as follow:1. According to the investigation of different sample plots in Changsha city, the landscape plant species and quantity can be identified. There were32families,65species in sample plots; and24families,49species plants were belonging to woody plant,22species aromatic plant included, which make up44.9%in the overall species, such as Lauraceae, Magnoliaceae, Pinaceae and Oleaceae etc. There were14families and18species shrub plant,8species aromatic plant included, which make up44.44%in the overall species, such as Oleaceae,Rubiaceae and Bear etc.2. Relative importance showed that woody plants had a high value in31.94%Cinnamomum camphora,12.93%Magnolia grandiflora and7.56%Cedrus deodar a. The total aromatic woody plant importance value in all sample plots was65.17%, and aromatic shrub plant importance value in all sample plots was54%. Both them in the total sample plots were greater than50%, which indicated that aromatic plant plays an important role in Changsha plant community.3. In the process of landscape configuration, aromatic plant have less species, a small amount of aromatic woody plant such as Cinnamomum camphora (L.) J. Presl, Magnolia grandiflora Linn., and aromatic shrub plant such as Osmanthus fragrans var. Semperflorens. Gardenia stenophylla Merr. etc were wildly used, with a single collocation patterns; the similar plant configuration models led to most of landscape lack of ornamental and interesting characteristics.4. Through the research, the investigation and study showed that aromatic plant landscape in different type of green space should have different aspects be paid attention to. In hospital green area, plant species and health care should be paid attention to; In the university campus, three factors should be considered, such as plant landscape, campus culture and health function; In the living quarters, plant landscape should be considered to combine with the instruction of configuration; In the department of government, government image and symbolic meaning of plants should be paid attention to. |
