Habitat selection research is an important part in the field of zoology. During February to November,2013, study three periods-the Breeding Season, Before the Breeding Season and After the Breeding Season habitat selection of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta (Alcippe morrisonia hueti) at Zhejiang Ningbo Tiantong National Forest Park. The habitat selection of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta on multiscale was analyzed by GIS, spss20.0and Matlab. According to the Breeding Season, Before the Breeding Season and After the Breeding Season, set93used points and93control points, measured and analyzed17environmental factors, record57kinds of shrub. Univariate analysis of logistic regression was derived with the above variables and their first-order interaction as in-dependent variables. In univariate analysis the variables with probability less than0.3were remained.Forward elimination stepwise logistic regression was conducted with the remained variables as independent variables. Finally, regression equation with the lowest AICc value was regarded as the optimal model. According to the number of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta (0,2,5±2,10±2,15±2,20±2,25±2) in different quadrat. We divided all quadrats into seven groups to count the change of19kinds of shrubs’relative abundance. The results of the study are as follows:1. Habitat selection of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta (Alcippe morrisonia hueti):During the different periods, we totally found212frequency of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta activity (the frequency of Before Breeding Season is72, Breeding Season is55, and After Breeding Season is85). On the scale of20*20:(1) Before the Breeding Season (2.15to4.18), shrub height, leaves thickness and herbaceous cover has a significant impact. The researchers also found a positive correlation between the population change of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta and the relative abundance of Camellia fraterna.(2) the Breeding Season(4.19to7.20), shrub height, leaf thickness and herb coverage no longer affect the choice, and the effect of herb coverage and shrub density becomes more pronounced; the appear probability of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta and environmental factors in shrub density, distance between the path distance were positively correlated, while negatively correlated with the herb coverage.(3) After the Breeding Season(7.21to11.2), the distribution of the birds’population size had evident positive correlation with the relative abundance superposition of Eurya muricata、 Sapindus mukurossi Gaertn and Vaccinium bracteatum Thunb. Plant uniformity index increases with the population of birds. On the scale of50*50, the choice of arbor coverage and shrubs proportion always has a clear preference. But at different times, the study found that before and after the breeding season, the impact factor of50*50scales of the habitat choice is more important, in the breeding season,20*20scales the influence of factors on the habitat choice is more important.2. Nest-site selection of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta (Alcippe morrisonia hueti):During the study period,27nests were observed. Using the contrastive analysis of the environmental factors, Plants important value, analyzed DBH grouping of frequency distribution and accurate prediction of mathematical modeling, we found that: the probability of the appearance of Grey-cheeked Fulvetta is negatively related to herbaceous coverage and distance of water. The key factors are:shrubs coverage, the distance from the water, grass coverage, vegetation layer, shrub density and so on. Grey-cheeked Fulvetta prefer to nest on Rhododendron ovatum, Illicium lanceolatum and Eurya loquaiana. Plant species is the first factor to influence Grey-cheeked Fulvetta to nest. On the scale of the plant, Grey-cheeked Fulvetta choose the plant whose diameter breast height is smaller to nest.
