A Comparative Study Of Carbon Storage Of The Main Tree Species Within20Years Old In The Northeast Of China

Abstract/Summary:
Accurate measurement of carbon storage of afforestation tree species is the main contents to carry out research on carbon measurement methods. Using the standard tree method and the harvest table, taking Larix gmelinii, Poplus alba×P. berolinensis, Picea koraiensis, Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, Larix olgensis and Pinus koraiensis for example. We compared the carbon storage of different tree species in the same area and the same species in different regions. The main results are as follows:(1). Carbon storage of Larix gmelinii is more than that of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica in the first ten years, then changed in the second ten years. The carbon storage of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica is26.25kgC-e·a-1, which is33.1%more than that of Larix gmelinii (17.56kgC-e·a-1). There is significant difference between the carbon storage of them (p<0.05).(2). The carbon storage of Poplus alba×P. berolinensis is more than Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica within20years old. In Qiqihar region, the carbon storage of Poplus alba×P. berolinensis is40.27kgC-e·a-1, which is24.9%more than Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica (30.25kgC-e·a-1). There is highly significant difference between these species(p<0.01).(3). The carbon storage of Larix olgensis is more than that of Picea koraiensis in the first seven years, then changed in the last thirteen years. The carbon storage of Picea koraiensis is43.17kgC-e·a-1, which is47.8%more than Pinus koraiensis (22.54kgC-e·a-1),and the Pinus koraiensis is10.5%more than that of Larix olgensis (22.54kgC-e·a-1). Trough analysis of variance, there is not significant difference among them.
