In order to find the optimum temperature, optimum soaking time of Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. And to study the mechanism of drought stress and salt stree of the Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. The present study is about seed germination of Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds at different temperatures, soaking time, drought stress and salt stress. Results show that:The Allium senescens L. seeds can germinate in10-30℃, and the optimum temperature is20-22.5℃. The Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds can germinate in5-35℃, and the optimum temperature is17.5-22.5℃.At20℃, the germination potential and germination index of Allium senescens L. seeds reach the highest after soaking72h, and the Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds reach the highest after soaking12h(P<0.01). Considering the germination rate, germination potential, germination index and vigor index, the optimum soaking time of Allium senescens L. seeds should be24-72h, and the optimum soaking time of Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds should be less than12h.At20℃, the higher the PEG concentration, the lower the germination rate, germination potential, germination index and vigor index of Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. The Allium przewalskianum Regel is more sensitive than the Allium senescens L. seeds. Under draougt condition, SOD is one of the main antioxidant enzymes of Allium senescens L. seeds, SOD, CAT and APX all are important for the Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. The GPX is important for germination of the two types of seeds at8th day.At20℃, the higher the salt concentration, the lower the germination rate, germination potential, germination index and vigor index of Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. The salt resistence of Allium senescens L. seeds is better than Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. Under neutral salt condition, SOD and CAT are higher the other antioxidant enzymes of Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. The APX is more important for Allium senescens L. seeds while the GPX is more important Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds.At20℃, the higher the NaCl-PEG concentration, the lower the germination rate, germination potential, germination index and vigor index of Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds. The trends of antioxidant enzymes changes of Allium senescens L. seeds and Allium przewalskianum Regel seeds are similier to the salt stress.
