| The experiment was conducted to investigate the influence of dietary supplementedwith Skullcapflavone-Zinc Complex (referred to SZC) levels on growth performance, serum biochemical parameters, immune function, antioxidant indicators, carcass quality, muscle and intestinal flora in broilers for estimating the biological effectiveness of SZC,then determine proper SZC level of dietary in broilers. A total of6301-day-old malebroilers were randomly assigned to7treatments, which consisted of6replicates with15birds in each using a completely randomized experimental design. Seven diets wereprepared to4levels of SZC (60,120,180and240mg/kg), Skullcapflavone group (180mg/kg skullcapflavone), antibiotics control group (20mg/kg bacitracin zinc) and controlgroup, the trial period were divided into1-21and22-42old days. Results showed that:(1) There were no significant differences (P>0.10) in ADG, ADFI and mortality for1-21and22-42days. But, compared with the control group, the120mg/kg SZC levelsignificantly (P<0.10) reduced the mortality of broilers during1-21days, also with othergroups; the antibiotic significantly reduced significantly (P<0.10) the F/R of broilersduring22-42days compared with other groups excluding60,120mg/kg SZClevels(P<0.10).(2) There were no significant differences (P>0.10) in slaughter performance, meatquality, and immune organ index but the abdominal fat, leg muscle loss and yellowness(P<0.10) for42-day-old broilers, the abdominal fat in180mg/kg SZC level wassignificant (P<0.10) lower than240mg/kg and antibiotic group, also the leg muscle losswas significant (P<0.10) lower than other groups, which did not affected significantly(P>0.10) each other; while, the yellowness in120mg/kg SZC level were significantly(P<0.10) lower than the antibiotic group, but not significant (P>0.10)in other groups.(3) The serum biochemical indicators were not influenced (P>0.10) in broilers for21and42days but the IgM (P<0.10) for42old days.(4) There were significant differences (P<0.10) in liver TSOD and GSH-PX activitybut the content of MDA and plasma antioxidation indicators were not (P>0.10) for21or42days. As see, the liver GSH-PX in180mg/kg of SZC was higher than others, also the liver SOD activity (P<0.10) higher in antibiotic group than control group, but notsignificant (P>0.10) than others.(5) There were no significant difference (P>0.10) in Newcastle disease antibodytiters, T lymphocyte transformation rate and avian influenza antibody titers for21or42days.180mg/kg SZC level looks better slightly, but not significant (P>0.10).(6) The number of E.coli, Salmonella, bifidobacteria and lactobacilli were notsignificantly affected (P>0.10) for42old days, the number of lactobacilli in180mg/kgSZC level looks better than others. In summary,120mg/kg SZC level was suggested for1-21day-old and180mg/kgwas suggested in corn-soybean meal diet for broilers. |
