Aiming at seeds’four stages in the motion process of the cylinder:seed-access stage, seed-clearing stage, seed-filling stage, seed-dropping stage, this paper studied the performance of plastic film mulch dibbler’s cylinder seeder, and the force and motion process of seeds in different stages was analyzed. The three-dimensional pictures of equipment were completed by three-dimensional software called Solidworks. We determined the movement orbit of them respectively and drew their orbits through the description of movement orbits of fixed duckbill and dynamic duckbill obtained by Adams.Without considering the slippage, the movement orbit of each point on it was trochoid; The partial movement orbits of dynamic duckbill were rolling cycloids (curtate cycloids) without considering the extension of rolling spring. The holing and punching mechanism of fixed duckbill was taken into analysis, and some influential factors were determined, including the mellowness of soil and the length of fixed duckbill. When the hardness of soil is suitable and the angle range between holing sideline and front end is38°~43°, seeding device has good holing and seeding performance without hanging films. There are three factors impacting the seed-metering performance of cylinder, the height of seeds, the speed of cylinder and the width of groove of seed-access device included. Those factors were experimentally analyzed and studied to look out the most influential factor. The result shows that the most influential factor is the width of groove of seed-access device. When that width increases, the misses index decreases, especially mung bean seeds, and the multiples index rises.
