For the protection of our country animal husbandry sustainable health development, alfalfa industry has developed rapidly and increasde substantially in the planting area. However, alfalfa hay quality is poor and a lot of nutrient loss due to the undeserved modulation method caused,it is difficult to compare with that in the international market of alfalfa hay products, seriously restricting our alfalfa hay production and sales. Results indicated that the reason of alfalfa hay modulation failure is stem and leaf dry without synchronization and grass strip under uneven drying, caused a large number of leaf abscission or part of alfalfa moldy. Therefore, selection a reasonable and effective hay making method is a necessary condition to obtain the quality of Alfalfa hay. This paper take the "Golden Empress" alfalfa as the experimental raw material, through the use of different drying methods, degrees of flattening and tedding moisture modulation to analyse alfalfa water dissipation law nutrient content and leaf loss, during modulation, and tested by in vitro digestion test. In order to explore the key technology of alfalfa hay modulation, provide theoretical basis and technical support for farmers and herdsmen in production. Based on the test results of comprehensive analysis and evaluation, draws the following conclusion:(1) Comparing to the drying treatments, the "moderately crushed+tedding at moisture of40%" treatment had the fastest water loss speed and the least leaf loss in processing of alfalfa hay and also maintained the best nutrition, which is the best way in un-disperse conditions.(2) Comparing to the drying treatments, the "moderately crushed+tedding at moisture of40%"treatment had the faster water loss speed and the least leaf loss in processing of alfalfa hay and also maintained the best nutrition, which is the best way in disperse conditions. And the modulation with disperse of alfalfa hay is more effective than the un-disperse.(3) According to the in vitro digestibility of dynamically, the disperse treatment had a better digestive characteristics overall and the test of A5(moderately crushed+tedding moisture over40%) is the best whose digestibility of nutrients was highest.(4) Synthesized all the experimental results, the best modulation technology of alfalfa hay is "dispersed+moderately crushed+tedding moisture over40%"...
