The Karst region in southwestern China is severely affected by the geologicalconditions, which special ecological environment system determines it’s hard anddifficult to ecological management and recovery, the area has also become a hot topic intoday’s eco-academic research. Soil regulate nutrient cycling and water circulation in theecosystem, be good to secure structure and maintain function of ecosystem. Theresearch of spatial variability of soil properties and spatial distribution and its influencingfactors can provide a scientific basis for the Karst ecological restoration and management. In this paper, a typical slope of Karst gorge region in southwestern China is studied, using classical statistical method to analyze the general characteristics of soil nutrients, soil microbial biomass and soil minerals, taking geostatistic methods to reveal its spacespatial and distribution pattern, using canonical correlation analysis can be used toexplore the relationship between the relevant indicators, finally, showing clearly spatialdistribution law and main factors of the soil property. The main conclusions are asfollows:(1) The basic descriptive statistics analysis showed that soil properties were in the inthe normal inspection, including soil nutrients and soil microbial biomass and soil mineralelements, all of these were subject to normal or lognormal distribution.(2) From the best fitting model of semivariogram analysis, the fitting degree of soilproperties were relatively higher. There were main three kinds of model types, exponential model, spherical model and Gaussian model. Different soil properties haddifferent dominant factors influencing the variation. So the spatial variability of differentsoil properties and spatial distribution significantly, and the difference was large. But onthe whole, the dominant structural factors affected spatial autocorrelation and variabilityobviously.(3) Using ordinary kriging interpolation maps to describe the spatial distribution ofsoil properties. The results showed that soil properties had obvious patch distribution anddistribution regularity was not obvious, affected by various factors lead to the differenceof spatial distribution in the small-scale was significant.(4) Correlation analysis between factors indicated that the groge Karst slope soilproperties correlation between the respective characteristics was significantly, mutualinfluence, interaction relations are close, and the correlation between soil properties andenvironmental factors is higher. When random factors such as human disturbance wasdominant, the correlation was weak; on the other hand, when structural factors wasdominant, the correlation was strong.
