Three year-old wild jujubes and board jujubes were adopted. A systematic investigation of the growth characteristics, photosynthetic characteristics, resistance and mineral content in leaves was performed, the main results were as follows:(1)The plant height and diameter of board jujubes performed as:they growed rapidly from May to July, and growed slowly after August, essentially stopped growing in mid-September. The ones with more plant growth are board jujubes grafting in wild jujubes from Yangqu, Shilou, Yangcheng and Taigu.(2)The content of chlorophyll in leaves of board jujubes and wild jujubes increased at first, and then reduced. The ones with more chlorophyll in leaves are board jujubes grafting in wild jujubes from Yuci, Taugu, Jixian and Yanggao.(3)The resistance index of wild jujubes were higher than board jujubes, including electrical conductivity, free proline content, peroxidase content and water content. The ones with better comprehensive resistance index are board jujubes grafting in wild jujubes from Yonghe, Taigu, Jixian and Pingshun.(4)The trend of5mineral content in leaves of board jujubes and wild jujubes are the same. The5mineral content reached maximum in late August. Calcium content was positively correlated with and manganese. Iron content was positively correlated with manganese and zinc. Magnesium content was positively correlated with zinc.According to plant growth, content of chlorophyll in leaves, resistance index and mineral content in leaves, wild jujubes from Yangcheng, Taigu, and Jixian are more suitable for board jujube rootstocks.
