The preliminary research results of Northwest A&F University Research&DevelopmentCenter of Biorational Pesticide (RDCBP) in screening of acaricidal activity show that theextracts of Sphaerophysa salsula have some acaricidal activity. For clear bitter the acaricidalactive ingredients of Sphaerophysa salsula, on the basis of preliminary studies, Tracing withacaricidal activity, the author focused on the separation and extraction, chemical compoundidentification and studied on acaricidal activity of constituents from Sphaerophysa salsula.Main results are as follows:1.The test results of slide immersion showed that,the extraction fractions, which wereobtained by soaking the powder of Sphaerophysa salsula with95%ethanol and then treatedwith petroleum ether, ethyl acetate,n-butanol extract and water,have certain acaricidalactivity.Among the extraction fractions, the petroleum ether and the water have betteracaricidal activity. At the concentrate of0.2g DW/ml, the corrected mortality of95%ethanolextraction fractions in24h to Tetranychina harti(Ewing)is88.35%;and the petroleum etherand the water is73.20%and76.89%; the corrected mortality of95%ethanol extractionfractions in24h to Tetranychus cinnabarinu(Boiduval)is69.94%,and the petroleum ether andthe water is49.32%and50.82%.2. The test results of slide immersion showed that,the Sphaerophysa salsula totalalkaloid have certain acaricidal activity,according to the results of measurement,the24h LC50is1239.037mg/L.3. Four compounds were chalked up from The Sphaerophysa salsula total alkaloid bysilica gel column chromatography and thin-layer chromatography. via nuclear magneticresonance spectrum (1HNMR) and carbon hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonancespectroscopy (13CNMR) appraisal,they are pinitol (C1), matrine (C2),4’,7dihydroxy7-3’-methoxy isoflavones-O-beta-D-pyran glycosidase (C3), sophoridine (C4).4. Through the slide immersion method to determine the acaricidal activity of compounds C1、C2and C4to Tetranychus cinnabarinu,the test results showed that, at theconcentrate of0.2g DW/ml, the corrected mortality to Tetranychus cinnabarinu are lowerthan20%, the C1, C2and C4acaricidal activity are low.5. Through the glass capillary method to determine the acaricidal activity of compoundC3to Tetranychus cinnabarinu,according to the results of measurement,the24h LC50is985.001mg/L, the C3have certain acaricidal activity.The results show that the acaricidal activity of Sphaerophysa salsula is complex. theextraction fractions, which were obtained by soaking the powder of Sphaerophysa salsulawith95%ethanol and then treated with petroleum ether and water,and the Sphaerophysasalsula total alkaloid have certain acaricidal activity. Four compounds were chalked up fromthe Sphaerophysa salsula total alkaloid by silica gel column chromatography and thin-layerchromatography have certain acaricidal activity. whether there are higher acaricidal activitycompounds and how the mechanism of Sphaerophysa salsula to give play to the acaricidalactivity is needs to be studied further.
