Cold storage of apple is the storage method widely used. Storage quality of apple is notonly affected by the storage temperature and its own characteristics, but also affected by thecold air distribution characteristics. Reasonable airflow field inside the refrigerator to coolfruit and storage quality of apple library has an important role. In this paper, apple coldstorage for the study of cold airflow field inside the simulated and experimental analysis, themain contents include:(1) Establishment of cold storage and cargo turbulent numerical model, usingcomputational fluid dynamics (CFD) software Fluent, using the standard of the K-εturbulence equations, combined with the appropriate boundary conditions, the cooling processand the library of Apple goods around the cold simulate the airflow distribution.(2) Airflow velocity field in the surrounding cold cargo experimental verification, whileApple’s pre-cooling the cooling process verification test.(3) The airflow distribution of cool store and around goods was gained through thenumerical simulation method.Through the above study the following conclusions:(1) A physical was established and simulated the airflow distribution of cool store andaround with the goods. The simulation results verified was in agreement with experimentalresults. They had high correlation and the correlation coefficient was0.921, which showFluent on the reliability of airflow organization in the cool store.(2) The temperature change of the apple store in pre cooling process is simulated withCFD. Ambient temperature storage in a short time can achieve the set requirements, but thecooling rate of apple is slow. The simulation verified had high correlation and the correlationcoefficient was0.921.(3) The cold storage of goods of different distribution characteristics of airfloworganization was simulated through the CFD simulation software. The mainstream of flowfield had the feature of closing to the wall and velocity had the feature of decreasing near tothe corner. At the same time, the airflow characteristics of the different placement of goodswere simulated. The results show that when the velocity of inlet was constant, if the goods were lower than the fan weight, the airflow was become more uniform in the area that thegoods were placed. Fan weight in the cool store should be as close as possible to the topposition, which was easier to form large vortex. The intensity of large vortex was moreimportant than magnitude of velocity of inlet to the air flow distribution in the cool store.(4) I have obtained the reasonable placement way of apple box in cool storage.
