LRCMS was the sterile materials selected from mating off spring of long you8and long you9. This paper studied the POD, SOD, CAT activity, soluble proteincontents, peroxidase (POD) isozyme and contains the pollen abortion process ofLRCMS. The results are as follows:(1) LRCMS obviously differs from the existing materials PolCMS on the flowermorphology. The performance of the petals thin and outer shrink,base shrinkage isparticularly evident, Stamens, about a quarter length of pistils,Anthers halberd-shaped,deflated empty, thin; nectar and stigma developed normally, slightly bent. Pollenviability assay was observed with powder.(2) LRCMS Winter Rapeseed (Brassica campestris.) shows significantdifferences in activities of POD, SOD and CAT and soluble protein contents of budsand flowers compared with its maintainer line longyou9, while there were exhibitedincrease or decrease trend with varying degrees in the buds and flowers. However,LRCMS and J39A, J68A, Pol10A had no significant differences in the activities ofPOD, SOD and CAT and soluble protein contents.(3) The results of POD isozyme detection indicated that band numbers of POD insterile lines of LRCMS significantly increased than those in fertile line, and thetransference distance was different; The LRCMS had a more enzyme band that Rfwas0.623than Longyou9, and the sterile material of Brassica napus also lack thisenzyme band. We can infer that this band was the specific band of LRCMS and wasprobably related with fertility.(4)After paraffin wax observation, LRCMS sterile stamens starting at thesporogenous cell, which was adhesion, nuclear-free kernel and tapetum absence.(5)SSR analysis of mtDNA showed that the LRCMS had its specific band, whichwas a group through cluster analysis and a new type cytoplasmic of sterile material,differed from other sterile cytoplasmic sources.
