Investigation And Analysis Of Pesticides Application Of Farmers In Lengshuitan District Of Hunan Province

Pesticide is one of the important means of agricultural production, it plays an important role in fighting against agricultural biological disasters caused by pathogens, pests, weeds and rodents, so does it in increasing agricultural production. With the development of science and technology, there are more and more varieties of pesticides which are wildly used. Pesticide not only plays an active role in maintaining crop yield, but also hasits side effects. The crop, the water and the soil suffered from the damage of pesticide residue because of the irrational use or abuse of pesticides, what’s worse, it may be a threat to the sustainable development of agricultural ecological environment. Chinese pesticide management system is not perfect, there are some problems, Pesticide sales market with messy management, Farmers with poor skills and weak safety awareness of pesticide application.This paper is the combination of survey and data research, take a study on farmer’s pesticide usage in Lengshuitan Distinct, and based on surveys of 265 household questionnaires from Puliqiao, Huaqiaojie and Lanjiaoshan Town to research the status and the impact of pesticide use factors. The main ideas are concluded in this research: The regional status of farmers’ use of pesticides; The problems of farmers’ use of pesticides; Analyze the reason.By using the investigation and analysis concluded the following ideas:(1) Farmers purchase the pesticide blindly, with poor skills and weak safety awareness of pesticide application and the damage made by pesticide.(2) The influence of famers and government work. The factors of famers include age, education backgroud; The government work’s influence include lagging lesislation, weak regulatory and lack of the agricultural extension system. On this basis, the author proposed relevant recommendations: Build and strengthen effective train of science; Increase input on technical researching and extending of IPM(Integrated Pest Management); Strengthen the construction of agricultural extension staff. Strengthen the rural pesticide market supervision, Provide testing services for pesticide residues; Perfect the relevant laws and regulations; Perfect agricultural extension system; Give guide to farmers of applying pesticide.
