Roof greening is a comprehensive modern new technology that traditional ground greening up for a three-dimensional greening, it is not only strive for more green space, relieve the contradictions of land, but also improve the urban ecological environment, adjustment micro-climate, heat preservation and insulation, beautify the environmental, mould temperament and so on. Lanzhou as the capital city of Gansu province, the fragile ecological environment and urban green land tensionly, in the face of the current realistic problems that urban greening land difficult to amplify, implementation of the roof greening is an effective way to increase the green space area.Taking Lanzhou city ecological environment as the reality basis, according to the situation of roof greening of Lanzhou, we have studied that lawn planting substrate, plant selection and content such as design and construction of the new technology of roof greening,the following conclusions aren obtained.(1)In the substrate of different treatments, Taking the tested plants turfgrass growth conditions of all substrates shows that the substrate of treatment 3 (Substrate ratio:slag, organic sludge compost 40%; mushroom scrap, sawdust、straw 30%; Ioam22%; water-retaining agent 3%; 5% slow-release fertilizer; substrate thickness is 15cm) is the best for turfgrass growth. The substrate of treatment 3 which water consumption is small and grow well, the substrate layer is relatively light in weight, it is best suited for the selection of the lawn cultivation substrate in arid and semi-arid region roof greening planting, and played the efficacy of conversion and utilization of waste.(2)The aspect of plant selection, we selected 33 species of plants from the landscaping plants are commonly used in Lanzhou city as the alternative plants, through on the spot investigation, field observation, expert consultation, and analytic hierarchy process method an so on, comprehensive selection of suitable roof greening plants for Lanzhou city such as:Gaillardia pulchella., Rudbeckia hirta L, Althaea rlsea cav., Rhodiola rosea L. etc. a total of 10 kinds of plants the comprehensive characters are most superior than others, and Dahlia pinnate cv., Celosia cristata., Petunia hybrida., Sedum spectabile., Poa pratensis L. etc. a total of 20 kinds are suboptimum plants, these plants can be popularization and applied in roof greening in Lanzhou.(3)On construction design aspects, Combined with practical design of roof greening in Lanzhou city. Make a comprehensive analysis of roof greening technique respectively, such as waterproof, drainage, roof load-bearing, plants, landscape design and other issues, and for the first time introduced a new green roof technology--intelligent terminal control irrigation systems, with a view to opening up new models for roof greening technique research in Northwest China.
