As classical quantitative characters, animals’ body length characters have gained wide attention from geneticists. Their differences are produced by a series of intricately detailed metabolic processes, and the control mechanism that produces differences has always been an international research hotspot. Body length character is one of the most important economic characters of swine, and it directly affects the economic utility of swine production. Mikawa found that the three genes---NR6A1,PLAG1 and LCORL, had notable correlation with swine’s body length characters through the swine genome sequencing, and released seventeen SNPs gene-locus candidates. Min Swine is precious animal germplasm resource and a first-rating protected swine in China. On the basis of differences in body shape, Min Swine are divided into three types: Da Min, Er Min, and Hebao Swine. And DA Min has almost gone. So far the genetic-mechanism of Min Swine’s body length has not been reported yet. On the basis of the differences in body length characters between Er Min and Hebao Swine, this study makes an analysis of swine’s molecular mechanism of body length characters. In this study, ER Min and Hebao Swine are taken as the objects, and the sequencings of part of their gene sequencing in NR6 AL, PLAG1 and LCORL are performed to affirm the main haplotype pattern of the three genes by equilibrium analysis, haplotype conjecture and linkage disequilibrium analysis. The major results and conclusions of the study are asl:1. 62 SNPs gene-locus candidates are screened, among them 17 have been released, other 45 are newly-found in this study. Among the 17 SNPs gene-locus candidates, 12 presents significant differences(P<0.05).Among the 45 newly-found gene-locus, 32 presents significant differences(P<0.05).2. Strongly linked haplotype genes have taken shape in NR6 AL, PLAG1 and LCORL separately. This fact brings a conjecture that the PLAG1 of Er Min has 3 haplotype genes;NR6A1 has 1 haplotype genes; LCORL has 2 haplotype genes. And the PLAG1 of Hebao Swine has 1 haplotype, NR6A1 has 1 haplotype, LCORL has 2 haplotype.3. In PLAG1, 7 SNPs gene-locus construct 2 LD Block, and Block 2 is as long as 120 bp; In NR6A1, 11 SNPs gene-locus construct 2 LD Block, and Block 1 is as long as 100 bp; In LCORL, 5 SNPs gene-locus construct 2 LD Block.4. Though the linkage disequilibrium analysis of 17 announced SNPs gene-locus candidates, it is found that LCORL only has certain linkage relationship with PLAG1, and it has almost no linkage relationship with NR6A1. Through the linkage disequilibrium analysis of the SNPs gene-locus with Hardy-Weinbery, we can find that there are interchromosomal synergistic effects between NR6A1 and PLAG1, and they has high degree of linkage, while LCORL operates solely, and it has very low degree of linkage with NR6A1 and PLAG1. LCORL has no synergistic effects with NR6A1 and PLAG1, while PLAG1 may has synergistic effects with NR6A1.Combining the above results, the study comes to a conclusion that: NR6A1, PLAG1 and LCORL are functional gene in growth regulation of Min Swine, but the concrete mechanism in controlling and regulating the body length characters of Er Min and Hebao Swine still need further research. This study provides thorough molecular basis for analyzing the decisive effects of NR6A1, PLAG1, and LCORL in swine’s body length characters and lays the groundwork for the analysis of shape difference mechanism of Min Swine, and also provides theory basis for the development and utilization of Min Swine resources.
