The area of Beijing located in the northwest end of the North China plain, it is high in the northwest and low in southeast in landscape. It can be roughly divided into two parts:the mountains and plains.Since the morphological characteristics of the vegetation distribution determines the differences, the form of its energy use is obvious. The weather of this place is quite hot and rainy in summer but cold and dry in winter. This weather determines the amount of energy consumption is large in Beijing area. Since the Yuan dynasty, Beijing is the capital of China and the population of there is density increased gradually. When in Ming and Qing dynasties, it was reached the highest peak in ancient Chinese history. The growth of population determines the rapid growth of energy demands, it has a great influence for the social. economic, and ecological environment.During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Beijing area had a significant problem in the use of energy. Since the forest bio-energy is the main energy, the utilization of it directly reflects the economic and social and ecological problems. The lack of forest bio-energy for the life of people, the development of social economy and ecological environment changes, and the development of fossil energy has a extensive and profound influence.Through the research of Ming and Qing dynasties in Beijing forestry bio-energy utilization, we can have a reflection on the contemporary mode of energy use, then looking forward to the human future, and it is worthy of our deep thinking on the use of energy.
