Establishment agriculture is not only a new stage of agricultural development, but also a benchmarking of the modern agricultural development. Yangling as the only Agricultural Hi-tech Industry Demo Zone in China, with establishment and development as long as 16 years, created the miracle of agricultural production and brought the hope of highly efficient agriculture. Greenhouse vegetable, an important part of modern and highly efficient agriculture, plays a leading and motivated role in the Agricultural Hi-tech Industry Demo Zone of Yangling. However, during the advancement of greenhouse vegetable, the disease and pests of vegetable aggravate increasingly, which becomes a barrier for a sustainable development. The occurrence of Bemisia tabaci, one of the dominant pest species of greenhouse vegetable, is particularly serious. Based on the previous research and the fact about the damage of the greenhouse vegetable, this study investigated pest species and population dynamics of B. tabaci and screened pesticides with high effect and low toxicity, in order to provide the technical support for the sustainable development of greenhouse vegetable in Yangling.1. The preliminary results indicated that the total number of pest species was 35 which belong to 17 families, 4 orders, insecta and 1 family, 1 order, mollusk in greenhouse vegetable of Yangling. Of whichB. tabaciwas the absolutely dominant species and damaged the greenhouse vegetable seriously, especially on tomato, followed by Myzus persicae and Aphis gossypii which mainly occurred on tomato and cucumber respectively, while other pests occurred slightly.2. Planting tomato a single crop, the occurrence of B. tabaci accompanied the tomato plant seriously in summer and autumn, reaching the peak on the later of June to the later of August, especially seriously during the period between July and August. Although spraying pesticides significantly suppress the population of B. tabaci, the population showed a stable increase again after a short time of it.3. Selecting 16 pesticides applied on the field indicate that Pyrethroid, Neonicotinoids and Organophosphorus insecticides had a better control on B. tabaci, while the effect of insect growth regulator insecticides was worse.Hence, it is suggested that it is not suitable on the practice.4. The project for control B. tabaci on greenhouse vegetable of Yangling should combine agricultural control, physical control and chemical control. Specifically, we should base the controlling technology on the period of overwintering, which can induce the populationcardinal numbers of B. tabaci, apply pesticides reasonably and timely and overall control.
