Agricultural greenhouse is an important component of protected agriculture. It establishes a suitable climate for crops growth using high-tech to improve the yield and quality of crops and grow anti-season vegetables. The environment control system is the core of agricultural greenhouse. But the current greenhouse environment control system is of the simple functions and low intelligence. Therefore, developing an agricultural greenhouse environment system with functions of multi-factor and remote monitoring intelligent control is practical significance.In this paper, a solar greenhouse remote monitoring system is presented. Though 3G/WiFi network, this system can realize the remote video viewing of agricultural greenhouse environment and the collection and display of temperature, humidity and light. The equipments are controled to work with fuzzy control theory. Except the implementation of equipment, data acquisition and remote video monitor are powered by solar energy.The system utilizes the C/S structure using ARM as the server and PC as a remote monitoring center. It mainly includes two parts:one is the hardware and software design for the server, the other is software design for the remote monitoring center. To improve the efficiency of charging the battery, the improved perturbation and observation method is used to find the output maximum power point of solar panels and stage charging method to charge battery is applied in solar power supply module. The server is based on ARM 11 processor and uses Linux system as the software development platform. It designs a TTL/RS485 conversion module. The bottom collection of environmental data can be transmitted through the RS485 bus to the server with multi-point data transmission protocol. It realizes image data acquisition of greenhouse environment in USB camera. And the image datas are coded by ARM 11 with the hardware H.264 coding ability, then packed in RTP protocol and sended to the remote monitoring center through 3G/WiFi wireless network.The remote monitoring center uses VS2005 as software development environment. It controls the environment factors with fuzzy control theory after eliminating the error data and feeds back to the agriculture greenhouse. It reorganizatizes the received video RTP packets into the NALU packaget and decodes it in FFmpeg library and finally displays in the remote monitoring center by using DirectDraw technology.The test results show that the system can normally run. The system of multi-point data acquisition for a same environmental factor improves the accuracy of the data sources. The system can get better control effect by using fuzzy control theory after eliminating the error data. The users can know everything about the agricultural greenhouse through remote video within doors. Therefore, the system provedes a certain significance for the development of greenhouse with intelligent control.
