Effect Of Yucca Extract On The Performance, Blood Biochemical Parameters And Intestinal Flora Of Laying Hens

Different levels of Yucca plant extracts were added into the diets of the laying hens to research effects of the performance of laying hens and their blood biochemical parameters and so on. 180 280-day-old laying hens of Ambassador No. Ⅲ were selected.They were randomly divided into four groups, three replicates of 15 chickens in each group. 0, 60, 120, 180mg/kg of Yucca plant extracts were added based on the basic dietary. The research lasted six weeks. Respectively performance, blood parameters, egg quality, high-throughput analysis of intestinal flora laying hens determination, economic and other indicators were tested. The test results showed that:(1) In each test group and control group, the average feed consumption, average egg weight, showed no significant difference(P> 0.05).With the added Yucca plant extracts added feed consumption showed decreased presented. The laying rate and egg production rate of 60mg/kg and 120mg/kg group were significantly high(P <0.05), 180mg/kg showed no significant differences(P> 0.05).(2) The shape index of 120mg/kg Yucca plant extracts add group showed significant differences between the control group(P> 0.05), 60mg/kg and 180mg/kg groups showed significant differences(P<0.05).Egg shape index of 60mg/kg and 180mg/kg groups increased significantly.The intensity, albumen height, Haugh unit eggshell thickness in each group showed no significant differences(P> 0.05).(3) Eggshell color L value of 60mg/kg, 120mg/kg Yucca plant extracts added groups were significantly lower than the control group(P <0.05),180mg/kg group was significantly higher(P> 0.05). Eggshell color a value shoeed no significant differences(P> 0.05) between the groups.Eggshell color b value of 60 mg / kg Yucca plant extracts add group was significantly lower(P <0.05) than the control group,120mg/kg and 180mg/kg groups were showed no significant differences(P> 0.05).Yolk color of 60mg/kg Yucca extract added group decreased significantly(P <0.05),120mg/kg and 180mg/kg groups showed no significant difference(P > 0.05).(4) Egg weight, shell weight, yolk weight, shell weight and the relative ratio between the yolk in each test group showed no significant differences(P> 0.05).(5) Serum total protein in each test group were higher, but the difference was not significant(P> 0.05).Serum urea of each experimental group were reduced by 56.3%(P <0.01), 31.9%(P <0.05), 23.5%(P> 0.05). Serum uric acid of each experimental group were reduced by 21.35%(P> 0.05), 41.1%(P <0.05), 36.1%(P <0.05). Blood free ammonia of each test group were decreased, but the difference was not significant(P> 0.05).Serum cholesterol of each test group were decreased by 34.4%( P <0.01), 21.6%(P <0.05), 21.4%(P <0.05).Serum triglycerides of each experimental group were decreased by 31.5%(P <0.01), 12.2%(P <0.05), 11.3%(P <0.05).(6) The yolk cholesterol showed no significant differences,egg yolk triglyceride levels showed decreased trend, the yolk triglyceride levels of 180 mg/kg group was significantly lower than the other groups(P <0.05).(7) Gas production showed increased trend, 60mg/kg group decreased 2.14%(P> 0.05), 120mg/kg group increased 15.96%(P <0.05), 180mg/kg group increased 27.63%(P <0.01).(8) Firmicutes of 60mg/kg group was increased, 120mg/kg and180mg/kg groups were decreased. Bacillus of 60mg/kg group was decreased, 120mg/kg and180mg/kg groups were increased. Proteobacteria of 60mg/kg and 180mg/kg groups were decreased, 120mg/kg grpup was increased. Harmful bacteria of Bacteroides, Eubacterium as Yucca extract added amount increased showed decreased.However, the Helicobacter as Yucca extract added amount increased showed increased. Ruminococcus, Clostridium and Atopobium,those beneficial bacterias as Yucca extract added amount increased showed increased.The Lactobacillus genus as Yucca extract added amount increased showed decreased. Oscillospira showed increased when the extracts at lower dose,decreased at high dose.(9) Feed consumption per egg costs of 60mg/kg and 120mg/kg groups were decreased by 0.0009 and 0.0159 yuan/per chicken, 180mg/kg group was increased by 0.0082 yuan/per chicken.Profits of each group were reduced by 0.0191,0.0041 and 0.0282 yuan/per chicken.Above test results show that the addition of Yucca plant extracts can improve the performance of laying hens, increased the number of beneficial intestinal bacteria, reduce the number of harmful bacteria, improve the health status of the animals in the diet of laying hens, and promote the absorption of nutrients, and ultimately improve production performance and egg quality of laying hens. The addition amount between 60mg/kg and 120mg/kg is better.
