The experiment was conducted to study effects of different fermentation time on fermentation quality and nutrition value of salix mixed fermentation feed, and study effects of different fermentation time on ruminal environmental parameters in sheep of salix mixed fermentation feed for further research, and to explore the optimal fermentation time of salix mixed fermentation feed. On this basis, study effects of salix mixed fermentation feed on performance and nutrient apparent digestibility in sheep, and to provide basic data for the study of nutrition in ruminant animal of Salix fermented feed in the future development. The experiment included four parts. Experiment 1 and experiment 2 mainly discussed the effect of different fermentation time on fermentation quality and nutrition value of salix mixed fermentation feed. In this experiment, according to the different proportion of Salix, two groups of mixed fermentation feed were made, represented by FF1 and FF2 respectively. Each group added the same number of compound bacteria preparation. The variation law of sensory quality, fermentation quality, nutrient composition and in vitro digestibility of Salix mixed fermentation feed at different fermentation periods of 1,3,5,7,10,12,15,22,30,45 and 60 days were analyzed.Experiment 3 was carried out to investigate the effects of salix mixed fermented feed on ruminal environmental parameters of sheep by in vitro gas production method. This experiment is based on experiment 1 and experiment 2, to study the effects of accumulative gas production in 96 h, digestion kinetic parameters and fermentation characteristic indexes in 24 h at different fermentation periods of 1,3,5,7,10,12,15,22, 30,45 and 60 days.Experiment 4 mainly study the effects of salix mixed fermentation feed on. production performance and nutrients apparent digestibility of sheep. In this experiment, according to the results of experiment 2 and experiment 3, the salix mixed fermentation feed in 30 days was selected to feed sheep. Forty-four sheep with similar body condition were randomly divided into group 1 and group 2, and twenty-two sheep were in each group. Group 1 was fed with 90%FF1 and 10% aneurolepidium chinense, and group 2 was fed with 90% FF2 and 10% aneurolepidium chinense. In addition, each sheep was fed daily with 0.5kg Zhengda 586 fattening feed. The results were showed as followed under the present experimental conditions:(1) With the extension of fermentation time, salix mixed fermentation feed have no obvious change in sensory quality, the content of pH values significantly decreased (P<0.05); the content of lactic acid and acetic acid were significantly increased (P<0.05); the NH3-N/TN was increased and then decreased with the extension of fermentation time; the butyric acid has not been detected in the entire process of fermentation; the fermentation effect of FF2 had no significant difference with FF1, and all belong to master feed fermentation.(2) With the extension of fermentation time, the content of NDF, ADF and ADL was significantly decreased (P<0.05) of salix mixed fermentation feed; the IVDMD, IVOMD, IVCPD, IVNDFD and IVADFD were significantly increased (P<0.05). FF1 nutritional quality is superior to FF2.(3) The concentration of volatile fatty acids and microbial protein production were significantly increased (P<0.05), while the pH value, ammonia nitrogen concentration, butyric acid concentration and acetic acid/propionic acid were significantly decreased (P<0.05) with salix mixed fermentation feed at in vitro culture. The effect of FF1 group on rumen environment is better than FF2 group.(4) Using the salix mixed fermentation feed to feed the sheep, the weight and dry matter intake was gradually increased (P<0.05) of sheep. The nutrient apparent digestibility had no significant difference between group 1 and group 2 (P>0.05).(5) According to the fermented feed formulation of adding different proportions of salix, the fermentation quality and nutritional value of salix mixed fermentation feed are increase with different fermentation periods, but also can improve the rumen environment and the production performance of sheep. Comprehensive the above test results, salix mixed fermentation feed gradually stabilize after 30 days.
