Salt tolerance is the adaptability and resistance of the plants under salt stress environment.Salt tolerance of either different crops and either different varieties has significant difference, soas well Salt tolerance of wheat. To screening salt-tolerant wheat germplasm has become a targetfor breeding due to the increasing saline-alkali land area becoming a research hot spot in recentyears. It has a major significance for screening salt tolerant wheat germplasm to use Xinjiang soilsalinization and agricultural production. This study firstly identified the salt tolerance at thegermination stage and seedling stage according to the ministry of agriculture industry standard(NY/PZT001-2002).Determinated some salt-tolerant wheat varieties (lines) by preliminaryscreening of226spring wheat varieties, Then the study analyzed the genetic diversity ofsalt-tolerant germplasm through the SSR (Simple sequence repeats) and got the main results asfollows:1. Based on the industry standard NY/PZT001-2002of Ministry of Agriculture,226wheatvarietieswere evaluated for salt tolerance at the germination stage and seedling stage.Amongvarieties tested,12wheat cultivars with salt tolerance grade1were identified at the germinationstage, and1wheat cultivars with salt tolerance grade1were identified at the seedling stage, while11wheat cultivars with salt tolerance grade1grade2and were identified at the germination stageand seedling stage. including8varieties materials from Ningxia, accounting for72.7%of the salttolerance material.2. Carried on the cluster analysis of relative salt injury index of wheat varieties (lines) in buddingand seedling period. The selected materials can be divided into three categories, salt-tolerance ofboth budding and seedling are all good, salt-tolerance of the either of budding or seedling is good,salt-tolerance of both budding and seedling are sensitive. Further correlation analysis showed thatthe germination rate of varieties (lines) under the condition of salt water under and thegermination rate of varieties (lines) under the condition of fresh water has significantly positivecorrelation. However the salt-tolerance of salt-tolerant varieties (lines) between budding stage andseedling stage has no significant correlation.3. Analyzed the genetic diversity for screening30salt-tolerant wheat varieties (lines) by usingSSR method with51SSR primers. The results detected138allelic variation, and each pair of SSRprimers detected2-10allelic variation, the average number of each primer detected allelicvariation was4.71. The number of polymorphism loci of Xgwm210maker in30wheat varieties(lines) is10, it illustrated the SSR marker loci in selected wheat varieties (lines) has goodpolymorphism. The analysis results show that the range of polymorphism index each pair of SSRprimers used in the study is0.53to0.84and the average value is0.72. The highest polymorphicindex in all tested primers is primer Xgwm112, and the lowest polymorphic index is Xbarc23. Ning37has the highest genetic diversity index in30wheat varieties and the genetic diversityindex is0.84. SD12-7has the lowest genetic diversity index of0.84.
