The paper chose Mansoniella cinnamomi as a object of study, which is a new found pest on Cinnamomum camphor, investigating its biological characteristics and harm condition in Changxing country of Huzhou city.This article described the morphological of egg, nymph and adult in detail. We also found its injurious features as follows; With the nymph and adult snorting juice in the back of leaves, it caused a lot of leaves falling off and small branches died, enfeeble the tree potential. What’s worse, the entire leaves would fall into the light of bald, and the damage rate was as high as one hundred percentages. Mansoniella cinnamomi spawned eggs in veins, nervure and the cortex of shoots of Cinnamomum camphora in the winter. It had6-7generations in one year. These eggs hatched in late March, then its second and third generation did harm together in the moon July, the peak time in the late July and September, nervure and the cortex appeared in early December.Through this survey we found the economic threshold of Mansoniella cinnamomi as follows: when the dbh of Cinnamomum camphora is about10cm, its economic threshold is57per hundred leaves; when the dbh of Cinnamomum hupehanum is above15cm, its economic threshold is zero. We also clarified its synthetic control index and control techniques.The drug control effect suggested the different treatment agents exist very significant differences between each other. By q-test(D0.05=16.77; D0.01=19.96), we found all them could get preferably prevent effect. In addition, the control effect of Beta-cypermethrin treated was better than that of other treatments.The result of the field trial indicated that the forest pest population density decreased significantly and the trees of Cinnamomum camphora have been recovered after the Beta-cypermethrin and cypermethrin·chlorpyrifos pesticide were widely used to control Mansoniella cinnamomi in field work. And the other control methods to control Mansoniella cinnamomi were proposed in paper, such as eliminate the pest source, management rationally fertilizer and water and protected and made good use of the nature enemies.
