Abstract/Summary:
Based on the present status in modern tobacco industry and the main problems in flue-curedtobacco seedling in Enshi city, the effects of different warming and heat preservation measures werestudied to obtain strong tobacco seedlings. Results showed that,1) maintaining the flue-cured tobaccoseedling pool water depth at4-6cm was helpful to enhance the buffering ability of the seedling bed tothe environmental temperature change, improve the growth, development and dry matter accumulationof tobacco seedlings, and therefore to optimize the seedling’s growth indexes.2)“double film anddouble shelf” techniques improved tobacco seed emergence, the growth, development and dry matteraccumulation of tobacco seedlings, and hence to shorten the seedling period.3)the3methods (electricheater placed at the bottom of seedling bed,air temperature warming by biological fermentation, boiler)were all beneficial to seeding bed warming, among which electric heater placed at the bottom ofseedling bed was the best if cost and the warming effect were both taken into consideration.4) in lowmountain, medium mountain and high mountain, the theoretical optimum power of electric heater forseedling bed warming was8.8w,25.0W and43.2W respectively.5) Heating at night (PM20:00-nextAM8:00) was helpful for the growth of tobacco seedlings, whereas heating at daytime (AM8:00-PM20:00) was more helpful to improve the resistibility of tobacco seedlings.
