This study based on the introduction of redleaf cherry plum which is planting in the experimental field of Changji Forestry Technology Popularization Center.Using morphological observation method for composite evaluation of its ecological adaptability. Using type DDS-ⅡA Conductivity meter to measure the conductivity, take the experiment of regrowth of the branches under the lethal low temperature, evaluate its cold-hardiness. Taking different seedling breeding methods of grafting and scion grafting to research grafting survival rate and growth rate overwintering. Make a comprehensive evaluation based on its growth, phenophase, ecological adaptability and the cold-hardiness, cutting propagation technique. Thus provides scientific theoretical guidance of introduction and breeding of colored redleaf cherry plum in Changji,Xinjiang. The main research findings are as follows:Changji are semi-arid continental climate, compared with the north temperate zone monsoon climate of its origin planting area in Kaiyuan. Changji area, where the annual precipitation is about one-third, the evaporation is 9.77 times, the extreme high temperature weather is higher, the extreme low temperature weather is lower than Kaiyuan. And frost-free period, sunshine time and other factors are also different, they may become the limiting factors of the success of the introduction.Redleaf cherry plum bud in late April in Changji, relative to the bud in early April in Kaiyuan approximately 15 to 20 days delay, the phenological period compared in Kaiyuan have been delayed, but compared with the other Colored-leaf species in the same experimental field can be concluded that the ecological habit of redleaf cherry plum has a good coordination and adaptability with the climate in Changji, also in conformity with the phenological period of Changji. Redleaf cherry plum is Colored-leaf species, during the whole growing season, the leaf color is purple or red, and the color is stable. Such species is extremely rare in Changji and Xinjiang. The leaf color is bright new in summer, and leaf abscission late in autumn, this obviously an advantage in ornamental period. Over the investigation of Redleaf cherry plum growth situation, the branches growth is less compared with the other species, but the amount of annual branches growth is high, easy to clip and new leaves color is better than the old leaves, suitable for the ball, square and so on all sorts of modeling, mainly cultivate bushy redlea cherry plum in Changji. In terms of ecological adaptability, the cold-hardiness index of average 1.3, level for, the temperature resistance index average 1.7, level for II,, resistant to disease and pest index average 1.3 level for, overall evaluation of adaptability for I. Above all, redleaf cherry plum can adapt to the environment in Changji. Although extreme heat weather in summer may be harmful to growth period of leaf, it can be improved by managementDuring the cold-hardiness test of redleaf cherry plum can be seen that the conductivity changes with different gradient of low temperature treatment, the lower temperature of the branches the higher of the conductivity. Above 25 ℃, the conductivity rising slowly, no significant difference, between 25 ~ 30 ℃, a sharp rise in the conductivity, below- 30 ℃, the conductivity increase smoothly. Above all, the conductivity change appear a "S" type curve, based on the logistic equation to calculate the lethal temperature is 37.76 ℃ of redleaf cherry plum. Thus, redleaf cherry plum can safely overwintering in Changji. In the study on the breeding of redleaf cherry plum, over the comparing the cuttings, different rootstocks way of breeding and safely overwintering situation, draw that using flowering plum for the rootstock in Changji, It grows faster and stronger.
