The ecological public welfare forest construction is a major component of ecological construction in Zhejiang Province. Based on 6.86×104 hm2 ecological public welfare forest in Liandu, 114 sample plots were taken as the research object monitoring. The characteristics of community structure were researched according to the research object monitoring. The species distribution, interspecific relationship in study area were analyzed by niche theory, interspecific association. The main results as follows:1)There are six kinds of forest types of ecological public welfare forest, Pine(Pinus massoniana) forest, China fir(Cunninghamia lanceolata) forest, broadleaved forest, Coniferous and broadleaved mixed forest, Phyllostachys heterocycla forest and Shrub forests. Among all kinds of ecological public welfare forests, pine forest had the highest proportion of the total area while the shrub forest had the lowest proportion. The ecological public welfare forests had many characteristics, such as it has a larger proportion of coniferous forest and its revegetation was early. Overall, the community advantage species were relatively single, especially the tree layer.2)The existing total biomass of the ecological public welfare forest was 720.60×104 t, the unit biomass of the ecological public welfare forest was 102.47 t·hm-2. And the total carbon storage was 358.451.×104 t. The vegetation carbon density for an average of 52.252 t·hm-2. Higher than the average carbon density levels in central Zhejiang Province.3)Fir tree have the widest niche breadth in tree layer, so as Loropetalum in shrub tree and Dicranopteris in herbaceous layer. Most of the interspecific relationship in study area between the dominant populations showed positive correlation, only 16.41% of the total species number were significant or highly significant.4) Use the InVEST model, modification and calibration the model parameters, then application the model to assess the ecosystem service function in iandu. The result shows the function of water conservation、soil conservation、carbon storage and comprehensive assessment of biodiversity in southern of Liandu are better than other areas,and draw the probability distribution of potential biodiversity in Liandu.This study was a research on community characteristics, interspecific relationship and ecological service function evaluation based on In VEST model in Liandu. It was not only beneficial to understand the status of the ecological public welfare forest in Liandu city, but also to give an example to analysis the community characteristics of others.
