As the most important forest ecosystems on land to improve the ecological environment and maintaining ecological balance, protection of human survival and development of the environment plays an irreplaceable role. In recent years, the ecological value of forests has become increasingly prominent, only quantitative study of forest ecological service function to guide the rational exploitation of forest resources and effective protection. Surface energy exchange of information acquisition of forest resources is an important part of environmental change. Get forest areas temporal surface temperature differences, and thus analyze the impact of environmental change on forest resources, forest resources and the environment is an important part of the dynamic monitoring. In recent years, the rapid development of remote sensing technology has changed the traditional limited by ground weather stations and observation points to analyze data for rapid access to surface temperature provides a new way.In this paper, the Greater Xingan Mountains region for the study, to adjust the temperature of forest ecological service function were studied using ETM+data, Forest Resource Inventory data and meteorological data for the Greater Xingan Mountains Forest quantitative analysis of surface temperature, draw forest-related laws regulate the temperature.ETM+band 6 analysis of regional differences in land surface temperature had been widely applied, most of its products were used for the research related to Study of urban heat effect correlation between, but the research of quantitative research of forest ecological service of modulating temperature is still insufficient. Landsat TM has a thermal infrared band (band 6) which can be used to retrieve land surface temperature. So far, three methods have been proposed to retrieve LST from TM6 data, they are Radiance Transfer Equation, Mono-window Algorithm and Single-channel Method. In this paper the authors have first reviewed the three methods and focus on the retrieve land surface temperature applied to the Greater Xingan Mountains area and Land surface emissivity estimation methods.Weather Station Data and The Landsat ETM+image used in this paper is acquired on May 24,2002 and May 15,2002 with Single-channel Method. The research results show that:(1)this Single-channel Method can be used to estimate spatial distribution of land surface temperature Greater Xingan Mountains area.(2) Forests have a cooling effect in the summer, the average temperature of the forest land than the average temperature of the town’s buildings to reduce 5.26℃. (3) NDVI and LST generally presented negative correlation between them, but the difference was due to different areas on the image type, vegetation cover and so much has been difficult with the negative correlation of the two figures show an equation.
