The breeding of Mountain region and forest ecosystem plays a very important role in keeping the balance of regional ecology and protecting the ecological environment, which largely depends on the quality of soil resources, and there is a growing attention to the dual function of soil trace element. In this discretion, the surface and Profile soils of different types are selected as the research object, in which the contents and distribution of copper, zinc, manganese, nickel, and lead have been studied and evaluated through field investigation and sampling combined with laboratory assay determination. Te results are as follows:(1)Determination of copper, zinc, manganese, nickel, lead, total and available content re suits showed that150~20cm of surface soil Dawei Mountain, in the whole range of surface soil, total content of copper, zinc, manganese, nickel, lead the5elements were10.66-40.98mg/kg,43.49~119.39mg/kg,249~941.2mg/kg,7.06~38.55mg/kg,32.12~68.82mg/kg. in a ddition to the average content of nickel is slightly lower than the average background values of Hunan province A soil layer, the average content of copper, zinc, and all the rest of the tot al manganese, total lead4elements are higher than the average background values of A layer of soil in Hunan province. Copper, zinc, manganese, nickel, lead the full amount of content t o meet the need of plant growth, does not produce toxic effects to plants. While the content o f available copper, zinc, manganese, nickel, lead the5elements were0.06~3.43mg/kg,3.87~7.92mg/kg,19.84~219.04mg/kg,0.24~1.01mg/kg,3.41~12.9mg/kg. The average content of available Cu and available Mn were lower than a critical value, the average zinc content is higher than the critical value. Compared with the classification standard of the available con tent, the average content of copper, zinc and manganese are rich.(2) the average contents of copper and zinic, the red soil was highest and lowest in yellow brown soil; The contents of total Mn and Pb were different that shrub meadow soil was the highest while yellow red soil was the lowest; The contents of total Ni was the highest in Yellow red soil and lowst in yellow brown soil, the contents of total Ni was the highest in Yellow red soil and lowest in yellow brown soil. The lowest value of average contents of avalabile Zn,Mn and Ni all appeared in the red soil.the highest value of avalabile Cu and Mn were in Yellow soil, while the avalabile Zn and Pb were in Red soil. (3) In the9profile soils (0~165cm)of Dawei Mountain, the result about the total and available content of copper, zinc, manganese, nickel, lead show that:the total content of copper, zinc performance for the eluviation and deposition characteristics in the most of profile. The total content of manganes e and nickel present bottom enrichment phenomenon in5profile soils,The total content of lead shows accumulation characteristics in5profile soils; The available content of manganese is distributed uniformiy in9profiles, the effective nickel showed surface enrichment in9profiles, Available copper, zinc, manganese mostly exhibit bottom enrichment characteristics, most of the effective lead show surface or subsurface enrichment phenomenon.(4) On copper in soil, zinc, manganese, nickel, lead content in soil and the basic correlation between physicochemical indexes between analysis showed:soil particles with diameter<0.001mm、content of soil orgnaic matter CEC and free iron oxid may be important controls for the profile distribution of copper, zinc, manganese, nickel, lead content.
