In order to improve survival rate of hard wood cutting of pecan,and explore the influence of pecan growth in different matrix formula. this test use six matrix formulas(matrix one: peat: vermiculite: perlite=1:0:0; matrix two: peat: vermiculite: perlite=0:1:0; matrix three: peat: vermiculite: perlite=5:3:2; matrix four: peat: vermiculite: perlite=3:5:2; matrix five: peat: vermiculite: perlite=3:2:5; matrix six: peat: vermiculite: perlite=2:3:5) explore the influence of survival rate and grouth of hard wood cutting of pecan. The main results were as follows:(1) There are significant difference between six matrixs’ effective component, usually six matrixs’ effective component increased gradually along with the increase in proportion of peat..Compared with last year six matrixs’ effective component dropped significantly in December 2014. Alkaline hydrolysis nitrogen content were significantly decline in the measured of three times.So hard wood cutting of pecan need a large amount of nitrogen fertilizer.(2) Matrix six cutting survival rate is highest in May, up to 88.9%, matrix one cutting survival rate is lowest. matrix three cutting survival rate is highest,matrix one cutting survival rate is lowest as usual in June, July and August.Pecan growth is fastest in June and July. Alkaline hydrolysis nitrogen and ground diameter growth, seedling growth were very significant positive correlation and high significant positive correlation, respectively.(3) The soluble protein and soluble sugar content of Matrix three cutting seedling were the highest, And its activity of SOD and CAT were also highest, so matrix three cutting seedling have strong antioxidant capacity.(3) Matrix one cutting seedling have the highest chlorophyll content reached 5.00 mg/g,and the worst is Matrix three,which significantly positively related to net photosynthetic rate.Pecan cutting seedling’s net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance and transpiration rate were decreases with increased photosynthetic active radiation, and finally tends to be stable. Intercellular CO2 concentration decreases with increased photosynthetic active radiation, and finally tends to be stable.Pecan cutting seedling photosynthesis have seasonal difference,the ability of photosynthesis was rise gradually from May to August, then reduced gradually. Compared with the first year, pecan cutting seedlings photosynthesis is better in the second year.(4) Matrix four cutting seedling’s root length, root total surface area and root volume were the biggest;Followed is matrix three and matrix five, which root growth status difference was not significant; Matrix one and matrix two root growth were worst, which root growth status difference was not significant.Matrix three was the best Matrix for hard wood cutting of pecan. And its root grouth was good.Pecan hard wood cutting should pay attention to the permeability of the soil and nitrogen fertilizer application. Pecan cutting seedling photosynthesis have seasonal difference. Pecan cutting seedling photosynthetic capacity is strongest in August,and it began to Dormancy in October.
