To evaluate the mixture perennial cultivated grassland from the overwintering ability, development characteristics, productivity, weeds occurrence, cutting and soil characteristics, the mixture perennial cultivated grassland at alpine area in eastern Qilian mountain that have been built in experiment stations of Gansu agricultural university in 2012 were analyzed. The results were as follows:1. The grassland turned green in the last ten-day period of April. Poa crymophila turned green earlier, and Elymus sibiricus cv Qinghai No.1 turned green later. The growth period of Elymus sibiricus cv Qinghai No.1 and Festuca sinensis was more than 150 d, and remaining grassland was between 140 d and 150 d.2. With the advance of growth period, the crude protein of aboveground grassland decreased, the crude protein and total organic carbon of root decreased firstly then increased, the total organic carbon and acid detergent fiber of aboveground grassland increased, and neutral detergent fiber of root and biomass increased firstly and then decreased.3. The weeds of the first year mainly contained Elsholtzia densa, Sphallerocarpus gracilis and Chenopodium glaucum, and dominantly compass Sphallerocarpus gracilis, Stachys sieboldi, Elsholtzia densa and Polygonim sibircum for the third years. The weeds Pielou index, richness index and Shannon Wiener index of the third years were higher than the first year, and the weeds density, coverage and biomass was less than the first year.4. The stubble height of CH6 and CH8 significantly increased forage yield, relative growth rate and the content of organic carbon(P<0.05), and reduced neutral detergent fiber content.5. With the extension of the growth date, the soil temperature, the soil respiration rate and the content of total nitrogen in 0-10 cm and 20-30 cm increased firstly and then reduced, The soil relative humidity compassed a trend like ā€œNā€ all around the year.6. The mixture of Festuca sinensis+Poa pratensis cv Qinghai+Elymus sibiricus cv Qinghai No.1+Bromus inermis were the best. The mixture of Festuca sinensis+Poa pratensis cv Qinghai+Elymus sibiricus cv Qinghai No.1+Bromus inermis were the better.
