Based on the biological survey data in Zhangzi Island artificial reef area, an Ecopath model of the Zhangzi Island artificial reef ecosystem was established by the software named Ecopath with Ecosim(EwE)6.4 to analyze the energy flow pattern and the system attributes of the ecosystem.The model consists of 23 functional groups,basically covering the main processes of the energy flow in the Zhangzi Island artificial reef ecosystem. According to the result,(i)the trophic level value of Patinopecten yessoensis, Seibastesschlegelii, Hexagrammosotakii and other marine organism have been increased during 2010 to 2012.(ii) The prey overlap index of Haliotis discus hannai and the predator overlap index of Sebastesschlegelii have been reduced.(iii)The Ecological efficiency(EE) index were improved from 11.1% in 2010 to 13.3% in 2012.(iv) The FCI index were lower than 0.1 and the NSP index was high. The Connectance Index(CI), SOI and MPL index were increased continuously.(v) The Carring Capacity of Patinopecten yessoensis was estimated of 124.7 t·km-2 in 2010,168.5 t·km-2 in 2011 and 217 t·km-2 in 2012.In conclusion, the Zhangzi Island artificial reef ecosystem in 2010-2012 was in early development stage which was unstable.It has a trend from immaturity stage to maturity stage. The higher net system production provided the material basis for the development of marine ecological systems.
