Under the background of global climate change, the carbon sequestration function of forest is paid more and more attention. The " afforestation and reforestation" has become the most important forestry CDM projects. The distribution and variation of biomass and carbon storage has important scientific and technical on monitoring and evaluation of artificial forest carbon sink function and development of carbon sequestration afforestation technology.Chinese fir is mainly distributed in the subtropical area, South China, it grows rapid and is good material, is commonly used in timber species. At present, Chinese fir plantation area in our country is 1239.1×104m2, accounts for the plantation area of 26.55%; volume is 4735.733×104m2, accounts for the national forest stock volume 46.89%, main types belong to South China forest. The current environment, the rapid development of China’s economy, resulting in substantial growth of Chinese fir wood demand, can be very good to meet this demand, alleviate the timber supply and demand pressures, while in some major forestry ecological engineering plays an irreplaceable role. Jiangxi biological research in the area of Chinese fir plantation ecosystem biomass and carbon storage, can provide basic data for the further research of forest ecosystem carbon storage and carbon cycle in Jiangxi province and even across the country, but also can provide effective reference for reasonable estimation of forest ecological benefits. This study carried out the system of the Chinese fir plantation plots investigation in three counties in Jiangxi province of South Jiangxi, using the existing model, individual biomass of Chinese fir were determined by model estimation, and add and total biomass of Chinese fir of the plot; shrubs and herbaceous biomass were determined by biomass, harvest method, forest biomass and carbon storage was calculated, and analyzed the spatial distribution pattern and dynamic changes of their. The main results are:(1) The biomass of 5-40 aged Chinese fir plant is 3.14-151.52 kg, the biomass of the main (disclude peeling) is 1.60-106.49 kg, the biomass of branch is 0.14-5.46 kg, the biomass of leaf is 0.21-5.89 kg, the biomass of bark is 0.33-17.37 kg, the biomass of root is 0.87-16.32 kg, each of the percentage is 50.85%-70.28%,3.60%-4.49%,3.88%-6.83%, 10.43%-11.46% and 10.77%-28.68%.(2)The biomass of 5-40 aged Chinese fir plant forest is 17.49-264.37 t·hm-2, the biomass of tree layer is 14.76-255.65 t-hm-2, the biomass of shrub layer is 0-4.53 t-hm-2, the biomass of herb layer is 0.40-9.97 t·hm-2, the biomass of litter layer is 0.40-13.24 t-hm2, each of the percentage is 47.50%-97.99%,0%-10.68%,0.32%-22.55% and 0.31%-29.95%. Sort by biomass size roughly tree layer> litter layer> herb layer> shrub. When the Chinese fir plantation age rises, the biomass of tree layer and the all stands will increase obviously, the biomass ratio of tree layer will increase obviously, the biomass ratio of shrub and herb layer will decreased.(3)The carbon storage of 5-40 aged Chinese fir plant forest is 100.86-224.32 t-hm-2, the carbon storage of tree layer is 6.15-106.48 t·hm-2, the carbon storage of shrub layer is 0-1.78 t·hm-2, the carbon storage of herb layer is 0.14-3.39 t-hm-2, the carbon storage of litter layer is 0.18-5.01 t-hm-2, the carbon storage of soil layer is 92.46-138.34 t-hm-2, each of the percentage is 5.63%-47.47%,0%-1.13%,0.11%-2.18%,0.20%-3.22% and 51.09%-92.92%. According to the carbon storage size sorting roughly soil layer> tree layer> litter layer> herb layer> shrub layer. When the Chinese fir plantation age rises, the carbon storage of tree layer and all stands will significantly increase, the carbon storage ratio of tree layer will increase significantly, the carbon storage ratio of soil layer will decrease.
