On the transects across, the soil elements and minerals record important information about the climate change in the process of soil. Therefore, the analysis of the distribution characteristics of soil elements, iron oxides and clay minerals, plays significant roles in understanding relationships between climate and the various elements and mineral migration and enrichment. In this paper, major elements and trace elements in soil, magnetic susceptibility, iron oxides and clay minerals of alluvial soil from the Inner Mongolia to Hunan sections were tested and analyzed. Results show that:(1) from north to south, the contents of Na2 O, MgO, K2 O, CaO show a decreasing trend; whereas contents of SiO2,Al2O3 increase gradually, as well as the development level, the strength of leaching and weathering intensity of soil;(2) K2O/Al2O3, Ba, CIA, pH and organic matter in soil are important factors in the influence on the migration and enrichment of heavy metals;(3) the trace elements of Ti, Zr, Nb contents increase with the increasing of soil development strength and intensity of weathering leaching, while Sr shows opposite results;(4) in soil forming process, with the increase of temperature and precipitation, magnetic susceptibility and frequency magnetic susceptibility increases;when Ba>1.00, magnetic susceptibility values increased with Ba decreased, when Ba<0.4, the soil magnetic susceptibility is less affected by leaching intensity; with soil by weathering strength, strength and leaching desilication process of aluminum rich increase, the soil magnetic susceptibility increases;(5) the relationships between soil iron oxides and climate show that when CIA>57, the contents of Fed,Hm and Gt increase with increasing intensity; when Sa<10.5 silicon and aluminum removal in process can help Fed, Hm and Gt enrich; when Ba<2.04, the contents of Fed, Hm and Gt decrease with the increase of leaching intensity strong increases; when Ba>2.06,the contents of Fed, Hm and Gt decrease with increase of leaching intensity; when K2O/Al2O3<0.21, the contents of Fed and Hm increase with the increase of precipitation; when K2O/Al2O3>0.21, the contents of Fed and Hm decrease with the increase of precipitation(6) the relationships between clay minerals in the soil andclimate research present following rules: when Ba <0.24, content of kaolinite enhances with leaching intensity, and when the leaching strength is not very strong, content of illite will be enhanced with the leaching intensity; illite and CIA are positive correlation, indicating that in not very strong chemical weathering, the alteration of feldspar and mica will change into illite; the formation and preservation of chlorite are usually in the chemical inhibited conditions, and with chemically enhanced, its content will gradually reduced;(7) iron oxides, magnetic susceptibility, illite and heavy metal elements was significant or extremely significant positive correlation, which implies that the iron oxides and clay minerals composition control is also an important factor in the geochemical behavior of heavy metal elements.
