Based on the literature review, this thesis defines the concept of inter-forest grassland by studying the Pinus tabulaeformis inter-forest grassland in Lingkong Mountain, on which we set 6 plots and got 60 herbaceous quadrats according to the distance to forest edge. Quantitative ecology characteristic of Pinus tabulaeformis inter-forest grassland in Lingkong Mountain was analyzed by using species diversity analysis, cluster analysis,x2 exact test, Pearson correlation analysis and Sperman rank correlation analysis. The results shows that:(1) The herbaceous plants of Pinus tabulaeformis inter-forest grassland in Lingkong Mountain can be classified into 22 families 61 generas and 72 specie, among which Monospecific family and monospecific genus have the largest number, and Compositae is the absolute dominant family. The floristic geographical elements distribution of concentration, Cosmopolitan is the most in the family level, while in the genus level, it presents the temperate distribution. Hemicryptophyte, Perennial herb and Mesophyte were most among life forms, growth form and water ecotype.(2) The herbs of Pinus tabulaeformis inter-forest grassland in Lingkong Mountain were studied by with Cluster analysis. The results from Cluster analysis indicated that the herb communities werw divided into 7 associations, they wereⅠAss. Carex lanceolata+Deyeuxia arundinacea+ Artemisia lavandulaefolia;ⅡAss. Carex lanceolata+ Festuca rubra community; Ⅲ Ass. Festuca rubra+Pedicularis verticillata+ Viola philippica; IV Ass. Pimpinella thellungiana+Artemisia brachyloba; V Ass. Chrysanthemum lavandulifolium+ Carex lanceolata; VI Ass. Carex lanceolata+Deyeuxia arundinacea; Ⅶ Ass. Carex lanceolata.(3) Species diversity were analyzed by employing the richness index method, Shannon-Wiener index, Simpson index and Pielou evenness index. The richness index and Shannon-Wiener index were almost identical trend. Simpson index also had a similar trend, the same result was that species diversity of Festuca rubra+ Pedicularis verticillata+ Viola philippica community was the most and Pimpinella thellungiana+Artemisia brachyloba community was the lowest. In addition, due to the impact of slope, orientation and forest edge distance, the species diversity of different plots were not the same, the species diversity in plot 3 was highest.(4) Interspecific correlation of dominant species of the communities was studied by x2 exact test, Pearson correlation analysis and Sperman rank correlation analysis. The results showed that the relationship between species of Pinus tabulaeformis inter-forest grassland in Lingkong Mountain is not closely, the whole community is in a relatively stable state. Positive correlation is slightly less than the negative correlation. Thus, herbaceous plants of Pinus tabulaeformis inter-forest grassland in Lingkong Mountain had a certain dynamic update.
