In order to save, protect and utilize comprehensively the permplasm resources of Houttuynia cordata Thunb, the investigation and collecting of permplasm resources, and the conservation and propagation techniques were studied. The permplasm resources banks were bulit in Huaihua city of Hunan provinces. And the collected germplasm resources was conserved and the experiments of seed, plant, tissue culture were carried, then the rejuvenation and propagation techniques of permplasm were successfully developed. The results showed that:1、Among the soil samples from the wild H. cordata Thunb growth population, the soil pH was main acidity and faintly acidity, the organic matter, total notrogen and potassium content was the higher level, the phosphorus content on the soil samples was the mediumlevel, the microelements were abundance. The factors of effecting 4-methyl-1-allopropyl-3-cyclohexene-l-alcohol content were in order Zn (-0.721**)>Fe (-0.665**) >Mn (-0.609**)>altitude (0.605**)> organic matter (0.545*)>K (0.519*), effecting 2,4-methyl-3-cyclohexeneyl isopropyl alcohol content were in order altitude (0.668**)> Mn (0.628**)> organic matter (0.614**)> Zn (-0.608**) and effecting the methyl ketone content were in order altitude (0.736**)> organic matter (0.723**)> Fe (-0.542*)>Zn (-0.534*)>K (-0.526*)>P (-0.521*)> Mn (-0.511*)2、In the propagation of the H. cordata thunb resources, the best effects of seed propagation were the treatment of 5% PEG and 4d low temperature; the plant propagation, the underpart seeding stem should be the growth strong,no diease-insect,no damaged,no freeze harm, unanimous and bright colour-lustre, with full-robust 3-4 bud,and the storing time should not exceed two days; In the tissue culture propagation, the best bud-guide medium was MS+0.5mg/L NAA+2.0 mg/L 6-BA(the guide rate reached 96.65%), the best bud reproduce medium was MS+1.0mg/L6-BA(the reproducing times reached 4.98 times), 1/2MS+0.25mg/L IAA was the root-guide medium.
