In this study, effects of a fertilizer containing the silicon, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium nutrients application combined with the local farmer’s conventional fertilization on the grain yield and qualities of double-cropping rice and the soil properties were investigated under the field experiment. The main results were summarized as follows:(1) Under the condition of equal nitrogen application rate, rice yield reached the highest in T125 treatment for the double-cropping rice, i.e. about 9107 kg/hm2, 7893 kg/hm2 for the early rice and late rice, respectively. In the early rice, rice yield increased by 3.9% ~ 9.8%, and economic benefit increased by 611 ~ 1478 Yuan / hm2 comparing to that of the CK2 treatment. While in the late rice, its corresponding indexes increased by 8.4 ~ 14.71% and 1311 ~ 1436Yuan/hm2, respectively, relative to that of the CK2 treatment. The nitrogen absorption of rice aboveground part showed large difference between the early and late rice, reached their highest values in the T75(128.7 kg/hm2) and T125(106.8 kg/hm2) treatment, respectively.(2) Compared with the framer’s conventional fertilization, the application of silicon, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium fertilization on the early and late rice significantly improved soil p H, and enhanced the contents of soil exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium, cation exchange capacity, and soil available nutrients. And the T125 treatment has the optimum effect on the improvement of soil p H.
