The study was conducted to determine the net energy (NE) of soybean meals using the method of comparative slaughter,and was established prediction models for NE by chemical characteristics or AME.NE value of soybean meals was measured as the sum value of NE for maintenance (NEm) and NE for deposition(NEp).Each kind of soybean meal as a treatment.Ducks in both trails were 7-d-old(fasted36hours),With an average weight of 120.14±3.21g and randomly allotted into 31 treatments (one basal diet and 30 diets of soybean meals)with five replications of four ducks.The NEm were measured by regression method with five treatments,which were group ad libitum to food,groups restricted feeding by 20%,32%,44%,56% respectively.The NEp of 30 soybean meals were measured by the method of substitution.With 12 ducks slaughtered as zero in the control group.each AME was also measured during the excreta collecting period.Proximate compositions of soybean meals samples were measured. Analyses of linear regression were carried out between NE and AME values,and chemical composition.The samples with Fourier transform near infrared spectrometer to spectral scan, soybean meal NE prediction model was established.The results showed that:NEm of Tianfu duck were 589.251 KJ/kg BW0.75.Soybean meal replace diet for Tianfu duck for the energy deposition of (5.32±0.14)MJ/kg, to maintain the energy of (3.53±0.12)MJ/kg.namely 30 kinds of soybean meal replace diet NE were (8.85±0.10)MJ/kg.basic diet NE were 9.39 MJ/kg, the set of algorithms for 30 kinds of soybean meal were (6.69±0.53)MJ/kg,and efficiency of utilization of AME for NE were (65.93±1.85)%.The coefficient of determination(R2)of regression equations from chemical composition and AME combined with chemical composition were 0.931,0.942,and the RSDs were 0.168,0.156MJ/kg,respectively.Near infrared prediction model of soybean meal can be R2cal, R2cv, R2val were 0.94,0.88,0.86, RMSEE, RMSCV, RMSEP were 0.15 MJ/kg,0.21 MJ/kg,0.22 MJ/kg.To sum up,Net energy value differences between different soybean meal.NE prediction model established by using chemical composition and near infrared was feasible.
