Soil nutrients is the basis material for the development of vegetation, and provide the necessary nutrients for the survival and development of vegetation. Therefore, from the regional scale, quantitative research on thespatial distribution of soil nutrient in the dry valley provide significant guidance for regional vegetation restoration and ecosystem management. In this paper, studying the difference of the soil nutrient and the soil spatial heterogeneitybetween different slopeaspects in the Dry Valley of the Upper Minjiang River, andcombined with the vegetation situation to explore the relationship between vegetation and soil. The main results are as follows:(1)On the sunny slope, the average content of SOC and TN under shrub was 15.48 ± 4.59 g·kg-1,1.61 ± 0.40 g·kg-1 respectively; The average contentof SOC and TN out shrub was 10.87 ± 2.65 g·kg-1, 1.14 ± 0.34 g·kg-1 respectively.(2)On the shady slope, the average content of SOC and TN inner shrub was 22.76±7.37 g·kg-1, 2.10±0.55 g·kg-1; The average content of SOC and TN out shrub was 20.09±5.05 g·kg-1, 1.78±0.38 g·kg-1.(3)Either in the shady slope and sunny slope, SOC and TN both showed significant spatial heterogeneity:In sunny slope, the CV of SOC and TNunder shrub was 29.63%, 27.88%respectively;out shrub was 25.77%, 25.63%. In shady slope, CV of SOC and TN under shrub was 27.39%, 26.31% respectively; out shrub was 25.13%, 21.27%.(4)In the study area, soil nutrient in shady slope was significantly higher than sunny slope, by 47% and 30% of SOC and TN under shrub and by 85% and 56% out shrub. But the spatial variability of soil has decreased.(5)Whether in sunny or shady slope, shrub showed significant enrichment of soil nutrient. In the sunny slope, the enrichment ratio of SOC and TN was 1.42 and 1.41 respectively. In the shady slope, the enrichment ratio of SOC and TN was 1.13, 1.18.
