Pollination constant and non-astringent(PCNA) persimmon is a new type fruit and popular with consumers, but new varieties of PCNA persimmon with independent intelligent property right are lack in China. So the main target of persimmon breeding is to select the PCNA type which adapt to chinese cultivation conditions. But the system of top grafting remains to be further improvement. In this study, crossing between ‘Eshi 1’(female parent) and ‘Taishuu’(male parent) was carried out, the technology of grafting between plantlet and twig was further improvement and identificated persimmon germplasms of the property of natural loss of astringency. The study may provide scientific evidence for chinese PCNA(CPCNA) persimmon breeding.The main results were as follows:(1) The survival rate of ‘Eshi 1’ × ‘Taishuu’ F1 hybrids graft with tender tip was reduced gradually as time goes on. The survival rate of grafting between plantlet and twig is highest in April. In June and July, the grafting survival rate of between twig and seedlings is much higher than with plantlets at the same period.(2) 721 plantlets were gotten from the crossing combination of ‘Eshi 1’ × ‘Taishuu’, there were 355 F1 offsprings with RO2 marker, and the chi-square test demonstrated RO2 marker has a segeration rato of 1:1 in the progenies.(3) The selecting criteria of abnormal seeds is less than 12 mm of seed length at 63 d after pollination.(4) Among 9 fruiting plants derived from crossing combination of ‘Huashi 1’ × ‘Luotian-tianshi’(H1), H1-36 was CPCNA persimmon, while H1-39 and H1-49 were PCA persimmon, H1-9, H1-32, H1-42 were PVNA persimmon, and H1-8, H1-55, H1-60 were PVA persimmon.To sum up, the survival rate of grafting between twig and seedlings higher than with the plantlets. Crossing between ‘Eshi 1’(female parent) and ‘Taishuu’(male parent), is expected to further improvement cultivation characters of ‘Eshi 1’; H1-36 is a created germplasm possessing the natural deastringency characteristics as ‘Luotian-tianshi’.
