Single cylinder four stroke diesel engine in agriculture has a simple structure, low price, on the operating environment adaptability is strong and sturdy and durable, low maintenance cost characteristics, is widely used in rural areas. But the use of tail gas generated in the process of high decibel noise and thick black on the environment caused serious harm, because of the attention degree is not high and low cost control. Up to now, there is no the agricultural diesel engine exhaust noise and pollution problems can also inhibit the silencer. Therefore, the agricultural diesel engine exhaust noise reduction and purification problem of design set exhaust noise reduction and purification in various swirl muffler. Specific experiments and results are as follows:The 175 types of single cylinder four stroke diesel engine in agriculture as the concrete object of study, with low noise, particulate collection efficiency as a starting point, put forward noise reduction and purification performance in one of the theoretical scheme, designed and manufactured a set of low cost, has the advantages of simple structure and convenient assembly and disassembly of the swirl muffler.By building a swirl muffler experiment bench, a detailed investigation in the under engine load characteristic of sound pressure, exhaust smoke, the amount of average exhaust emission and fuel consumption rate data, in the performance of diesel engine are not affected by the condition, the average sound pressure values of no muffler, original muffler and swirl muffler are 97.40dB,92.25dB and 76.84dB, swirl muffler compared with the original muffler, the average noise reduction is 15.41dB, representing a decrease of 15% to 20%; the average exhaust smoke values of no muffler, original muffler and swirl muffler are 29.71%,28.81% and 12.68%, swirl muffler compared with the original muffler, and the average discharge of smoke is reduced by 16.13%; each experiment the ten minutes amount of average exhaust emission are 2.20g,2.13g and l.Olg, the average catching rate of exhaust emission of swirl muffler is 55.58% higher than original muffler, and on the condition of low speed can reach 80.36%. In order to verify the feasibility of design scheme, spiral silencer is illustrated set exhaust noise reduction and purification in one of the muffler.Combined with the structure of swirl muffler, designed other three kinds of structures swirl muffler. When the engine speed is 2400r/min, the agricultural diesel engine exhaust sound pressure and smoke are tested. The test results are as follows:the average sound pressure values of three kinds of new type structure swirl muffler a, b, c are 85.77 dB.90.49 dB and 89.88 dB, compared with the original muffler, the average noise reduction are 8.97 dB,4.25 dB and 4.86 dB, representing a decrease of 9.47%, 4.49% and 5.13%; the average exhaust smoke values of three kinds of new type structure swirl muffler a, b, c are 23.30%、26.05% and 25.06%, each experiment the ten minutes amount of average exhaust emission are 1.11g.1.63g and 1.43g, the average catching rate of exhaust emission of three kinds of new structures swirl muffler are 50.61%,25.86% and 35.71% higher than original muffler. It shows three kinds of new type swirl muffler can simultaneously for the agricultural diesel exhaust noise reduction and purification, but the noise reduction and purification effect is not as good as the original swirl muffler.
