Study On Hubei Provincial Agriculture College In The Anti-Japanese War Period (1940-1945)

Hubei Provincial Agriculture College is established under the special background of the war. It is the product of complex social and economic factors at wartime. The migration to the West of political center brought the migration to the West of educational center in Hubei province. Departments of college set up Research Institutes respectively and had their own research areas. On the basis of field investigation and farm experiments, Departments of college conducted a comprehensive research on the plant and soil improvement and plant disease control through the cooperation with Institute of Hubei Agriculture Improvement and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. All these measures of college strengthened the agricultural construction in Western Hubei and promoted the agricultural improvement in Hubei Province.To satisfied the needs of agricultural promotion in wartime, Hubei Provincial Agriculture College founded junior and senior education systems of agricultural promotion and actively implemented wartime farmer education. Thus systematic agricultural promotion system could be founded finally. In addition, Hubei Provincial Agriculture College adopted other effective promotion methods to make the education tradition of "learning-by-doing" and "study for application" can be inherited.
