Fertilizer is to ensure that alfalfa yield, stable yield an effective measure, but irrational fertilization, not only a waste of resources, but also cause environmental pollution, soil compaction and other issues, so how rational fertilization,it is necessary to improve the utilization rate of fertilizer.Based on growing alfalfa in the third year in field of salt-affected land in Hetao, orthogonal experiment is set to test the influence of production and quality by using different fertilization combinations of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Kalium.Results show that fertilization significantly increase the production of alfalfa, fertilization of P is better than that of K, and fertilization of less N is better than that of more N; Alfalfa production reached maximum value of 8428kg/hm2 while the combination is N (2 kg/667m2), P (6 kg/667m2) and K(4 kg/667m2), which is 48.4% higher than the control group and it can be used as optimal economic fertilization combination. Alfalfa highest economic benefits is income of 196.2yuan per mu and income rate reached 38.2% while the combination is P (2 kg/667m2) and K(2 kg/667m2).Effect of fertilizer on previous crop of alfalfa is better than ensuing crop. Fertilization combination of N-P, N-K and P-K can significantly increase the contents of crude protein and crude fat, but with the increasing of fertilizing amount, the growth trend showed a tendency of decreasing.
