In order to understand the biological characteristics and the trapping ability of Arthrobotrys oligospora, the study isolated a strain of nematode trapping fungi by corn meal agar method, according to the characteristics of mycelium, conidia and the trapping mode, preliminarily identified to the Arthrobotrys oligospora.The research conducted the PCR amplification to the ITS2 gene of the nematode trapping fungi, after phylogenetic tree analysis and the homology analysis, we found that the strain of nematode trapping fungi is at the same branch with the Arthrobotrys oligospora strain ATCC and XAo1, the homology of the three strains are 100%, presenting the isolated strain is Arthrobotrys oligospora, named Arthrobotrys oligospora QHQL strain.The Morphological characteristics study showed that the ending mycelium have clear boundaries, and the Intermediate mycelium are disordered and irregularly, the scanning electron microscopy observation showed that the mycelium, conidia and conidiophore are both have septums, the trasmition elctron microscopy observation showed that the formation of septum is due to the curved growth of the cell membrane. The physical and chemical characteristics study found that the Gram staining result is negative, the best growth temperature is 21 ℃, and the best growth p H is 6.The trapping characteristics study showed the trapping rings were found when the mycelium induced by nematodes, and the nematode body will exhaust after 48 h.The trapping rate study of corn meal agar(CMA) medium and sheep faeces medium results are respectively as 86.21% and 73.91%.
