In order to conform to the increasing trend of the agricultural water industry in China and response to the national water resources protection policy, it is very important to improve the water saving irrigation. The application of water saving irrigation technology not only satisfy people’s demand for fruits and vegetables, but also ensure to save the irrigating water based on increasing the high quality production of crops. The ultimate aim is to protect water resources and alleviate the contradiction between water supply and demand.Three kinds of greenhouse experiments including infiltration irrigation, drip arrow irrigation and surface drip irrigation were carried out.The experimenta measured different parameters of the soil moisture, the cucumber plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, leaf number and yield. And different irrigation methods on soil moisture variation, cucumber growth and yield were analyzed and compared. This paper provided the theoretical basis for the best water saving irrigation technology in the process of cucumber production. The experimental results were as follows:(1) An equal amount of water of water was irrigated by different irrigation methods, the different soil layers’ soil moisture daily variation is different.Infiltration irrigation decreased continuously, and drip arrow irrigationat first reduced and then increased and then reduced, and the surface drip irrigation decreased rapidly and then increased gradually; the experimental results for 10 cm layer were similar. It decreased at first decrease and then remained unchanged.Drip arrow irrigation was first increased and then decreased. In 15 cm layer, drip arrow irrigation and surface drip irrigation performance reduced a little at first and remained the same after that while the infiltration irrigation treatment reduced at first and increase then increased, but the overall change in a smaller range.(2) The average soil moisture at the same position was different by different irrigation methods even if the amount of water was equal. The descending order of 5cm distance and 5cm soil layer before and after irrigation was surface drip irrigation, drip arrow irrigation, infiltration irrigation; The descending order of 10 cm distance and 10 cm soil layer before and after irrigation wasinfiltration irrigation, surface drip irrigation, drip arrow irrigation; The descending order of 15 cm distance and 15 cm soil layer before and after irrigation was infiltration irrigation, drip arrow irrigation, surface drip irrigation.(3) Water storage capacity of different irrigation methods was different for different soil layers. For the surface layer, the descending order ofwater storage capacity was infiltration irrigation, drip arrow irrigation, surface drip irrigation; the descending order ofwater storage capacitywasdrip arrow irrigation, surface drip irrigation, infiltration irrigation in the middle layer and in the deep layer of soil, the order was infiltration irrigation, surface drip irrigation, drip arrow irrigation.(4) The effects of different irrigation methods on the plant characteristics of cucumber were different, the plant height was obvious, and the different irrigation methods had different effects on the early flowering stage and the fruiting stage. In early flowering stage, the descending order of plant height was surface drip irrigation, drip arrow irrigation, infiltration irrigation. The descending order of plant height in fruiting stage was infiltration irrigation, drip arrow irrigation, surface drip irrigation; The effect of stem diameter and leaf area on the whole growth period was basically the same, the descending order of stem diameter was infiltration irrigation, drip arrow irrigation, surface drip irrigation, the descending order of leaf area was drip arrow irrigation, surface drip irrigation, infiltration irrigation; While leaf number performed that surface drip irrigation and drip irrigation were more than infiltration irrigation in the fruiting period.Andduring fruiting stage infiltration irrigation and drip irrigation were more than surface drip irrigation. On the whole, for the cucumber, surface drip irrigation was conducive to moisture absorption in the early flowering period. Infiltration irrigation was conducive to the cucumber fruiting period of moisture absorption.(5) Effects of cucumber appearance quality, yield and water production efficiency were different by different irrigation methods. The average fruit length and fruit diameter were less affected by irrigation; while bending degree, yield and water productivity greatly affected. For three irrigation methods, the descending order of bending degree was infiltration irrigation, drip arrow irrigation, surface drip irrigation, and the descending order of yield and water productivity was surface drip irrigation, infiltration irrigation and drip arrow irrigation. On the whole, there was a close relationship between irrigation methods and yield and water productivity.Yield and water productivity was an important index to measure the quality of water-saving irrigation. In summary, the key to consider from the two aspects, surface drip irrigation was the most appropriate way of water-saving irrigation for irrigation in greenhouse in Jilin province.
