This growth chamber experiment was consisted of four different NaCl concentration(0,0.25%,0.5%,0.75%),the object of this study is to investigate the growth characteristics and differences at seedling stage and salt tolerances of the 4 varieties of kentucky bluegrasses; The experiment was consisted of two different NaCl concentration(0 and 0.5%),the object of this study is to investigate the growth and development at seedlings stage under salt stress conditions, and compare the salt resistance strength of two varieties of kentucky bluegrasses; This experiment was consisted of two salt concentration(0 and 0.5%),setting four treatment under each salt gradient, namely silicon and control group(CK+Si), potassium and control group(CK+K),silicon and salt-strees group(NaCl+Si) and control group(CK), researched the effects of Siliconon Seedling and root growth and the influenceof salt resistance of kentucky bluegrasses under salt stress. The main results were as follows:1.The seedling emergence rate of kentucky bluegrasses increase at first and then descend with the salt concentration increasing. In seedling stage, the trend of fresh seedling length ang weight, the root length and weight, total length of roots, total surface areas, average root diameter and number of tips were QS>WY>KT>DG. In a word, When the salt concentration is 0.25%,it is beneficial to the growth, 0.5% and 0.75% concentration is not conducive to the sustainable development. The salt resistance of the four varieties, the best and the worst is Bluechip and Empire respectively.2. Silicon can significantly reduce the toxicity of salt stress to kentucky bluegrasses, Promote plant growth and development of aerial and underground parts, significantly improve the seedling and root fresh weight. Silicon can promote grass root length, root surface areas and root average diameter growth, there is no significant effect on the number of tips. Silicon and control group was significantly higher than other groups. K has no obvious effect in improving the salt resistance of Kentucky bluegrass.3. Silicon can significantly reduce the relative conductivity of Kentucky bluegrass leaves under salt stress conditions, Potassium had no obvious effect.
