Water shortage has become the focus of attention in a worldwide range. China is a developing country that has the largest population, its water pollution is getting more serious. By investigating and studying the water quality of in Zhejiang Changtan Reservoir area, which is the fountainhead of Taizhou City. By discussion of the water pollution and evaluation of water quality, we grasp fully the dynamic characteristics of pollution in the reservoir, made effective measures to prevent pollution and improve water quality in order to general management of Changtan Reservoir.The main reason of water pollution is no-point pollution, including living pollution, agricultural pollution and breeding aquatic pollution. There are widely distributed sources of pollution and many different discharge locations. The pollution has been changing over time. Single pollutionå'Œpollution in the reservoir are mainly from the industrial waste water and tourism in the reservoir. Breeding aquatic pollution is the reason. In addition, oil pollution and plumbum pollution caused by transportation of watercraft should not be regarded.Based on analysis the overall status of Changtan Reservoir, using the technology of artificial wetland, we have made a control program on the water pollution in Changtan reservoir -- The combination of source control and ecological restoration. The main control program including the control and management rural pollution, agricultural sources of pollution , tourist pollution and vessel and vehicle pollution, the construction of vegetation zones and the loss of land and water .The main way of ecological restoration of the reservoir is to restore terrestrial vegetation, to deal with pollutants by setting up artificial wetland.The study shows that reservoir area and water environment can be protected effectively to restore water quality. At the same time, the theoretical rationale and the reference practice on major water conservation and pollution control can be provided.
