The Clinical Research Of Chronic Rhinosinusitis And Nasal Polyps With Bronchial Asthma

Objective To analyze the clinical data of chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polypspatients with bronchial asthma, to explore the correlation of chronic rhinosinusitis and nasalpolyps with bronchial asthma disease.Methods Select141chronic rhinosinusitis patients who treatment at Department ofOtolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Respiratory Medicine of General Hospital ofNingxia Medical University in May to December2011. Divided these patients into chronicrhinosinusitis63and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps78. Further diagnose thesepatients whether associated with bronchial asthma. According to the lesions of sinusitis, theclassification of nasal polyps and the degree of change in lung function, analysis therelationship between the two groups of patients with bronchial asthma. Continuous data wasanalyzed by t-test, dichotomous data was analyzed by Chi-square test, P was consideredstatistically significant at a level of0.05.Results In the63cases of chronic rhinosinusitis,15were accompanied with asthma,the lesions of sinusitis with the severity of bronchial asthma and the degree change of lungfunction was positively correlated. In the78cases of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps,21were accompanied with asthma, different levels of nasal polyps with the severity ofbronchial asthma and the degree change of lung function no correlation. The two groups ofpatients with bronchial asthma’ disease severity and quality of life is severely affected.Conclusion Chronic rhinosinusitis and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polypsdisease are closely related to bronchial asthma, the sinus diseases with bronchial asthma patients’ quality of life is reduced.
