Deer products are main body of the product or by-product from sika deer(Cervusnippon)or wapiti(Cervus elaphus), it has been used as traditional medicine for thousands ofyears in China. Now velvet antler, deer blood, deer fetus, antler disk, deer muscle and otherdeer products often were researched and applied, it is said "deer body treasure"This paper mainly studied velvet antler, deer fetus and antler disk, a number of experimentalstudies had shown that velvet antler, deer fetus and antler disk contains kinds of chemicalingredients, like amino acids, polysaccharides, proteins, inorganic elements, etc., havingantioxidant, enhance immunity, anti-tumor pharmacological effects. This paper mainly studiedthe protect skin effect, anti-obesity effects in vivo and in vitro and anti-diabetic effects of thevelvet antler, deer fetus and antler disk.The experiments determined the content of hypoxanthine in velvet antler, deer fetus andantler disk alcohol extract and water extract by high-performance liquid chromatography,itshowed that the content of hypoxanthine in the alcohol extract of velvet antler,the water extractof velvet antler, the alcohol extract of deer fetus, the water extract of deer fetus, the alcoholextract of antler disk, the water extract of antler disk was0.366%,0.114%,0.171%,0.128%,0.045%,0.011%,respectively. Automatic amino acid analyzer using S433D on velvet antler,deer fetus and antler disk determined the content of free amino acids, the results showed thatthe total free amino acids of velvet antler, deer fetus and antler disk was6.77mg/g,30.98mg/g,675.42μg/g, respectively. Free amino acid content of each deer products was basicallysimilar with reported in the literature.To study the activity of moisturizing, antioxidant and inhibition tyrosinase in deer. Deerproducts have got to moisturizing effect to varying degrees, their moisture is better under highhumidity conditions, with long-lasting moisturizing effect; DPPH radical scavenging effectfrom strong to weak order was deer fetus water extract> antler disk water extract> velvet antlerwater extract> velvet antler alcohol extract> deer fetus alcohol extract> antler disk alcoholextract; deer products have a certain inhibitory tyrosinase effect. The antler water extract wasthe strongest, the IC50was31.932mg/mL; The antler alcohol extract was the lowest, the IC50was51.530mg/mL.Researched on pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity and promote lipolysis of deer products.Pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity area: the results showed the hypoxanthine and each deer product sample concentration in the0.5-2mg/mL changed,they were all had inhibition ofpancreatic lipase activity, with increasing sample concentration,the inhibition of pancreaticlipase was strengthened, showed a linear relationship, the IC50values for each samplefollowed was the alcohol extract of velvet antler, the alcohol extract of deer fetus,hypoxanthine, the water extract of deer fetus, the water extract of velvet antler, the alcoholextract of antler disk, the water extract of antler disk by small to large. Promote lipolysis areas:the fat decomposition rate of hypoxanthine, the alcohol extract of velvet antler, the alcoholextract of deer fetus, the alcohol extract of antler disk, the water extract of velvet antler, thewater extract of deer fetus, the water extract of antler disk was458.00%,248.63%,187.83%,104.35%,106.09%,121.74%,69.57%, respectively.Studied on anti-obesity of deer products in vivo,it shown that deer products had nosignificant effect on food intake and water intake of mice,it could significantly reduce kidneysweek fat and abdominal fat in mice, total content of cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG)changed lower,high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) levels in serum changed higher, elevatedSOD activity, decreased MDA content in liver, the anti-obesity effect of velvet antler low doseswas the best.Researched on anti-diabetic of velvet antler in mice, the results shown that the fasting bloodglucose of the low-dose velvet antler group was continuing a slow downward trend,comparedwith the model group, there was a significant difference (P <0.05), compared with the modelgroup whose glucose tolerance, decreased9.18%, there was a significant difference (P<0.05),velvet antler groups reduced TC, TG and increased HDL-C, it could increase SOD, reduceMDA level,the anti-diabetic of velvet antler low doses was the best.
