Part I:Measurement and comparative analysis of intracranialvolume of healthy Plateau Tibetan、Han and Hui Chinese youngpeople on MRIObjective: To measure the Plateau Tibetan and Han Hui college students’ cranialcavity size, comparative analysis of cranial volume differences between differentethnic groups and sexes, and it can provide reference data about healthy young in theplateau for establishing the standard brain people. Method: Using the Siemens3.0Tskyra select the Plateau Tibetan and han Hui college students each ethnic has30people, including15males,15females, in total90, age range18-22years. Allsubjects underwent three-dimensional magnetization prepared rapid acquisitiongradient echo sequence of T1WI image acquisition, and t test analysis of variance andsex workers don’t between the measurement results. Results: The Tibetan male andfemale cranial volume were (3117.2268±211.8688)cm3,(2712.5343±250.0785)cm3; Han nationality male and female cranial volume were (2995.7108±139.4491)cm3,(2681.9714±187.8033) cm3; Hui male and female cranial volume were(3207.4151±267.5749) cm3,(2761.2630±168.7913) cm3. There were significantdifferences in the gender of the cranial cavity volume (P=0), after analyzing thenational comparison, the difference between Han male skull size and hui male skullsize was statistically significant, there was no significant difference between otherdifferent groups. Conclusion: Male cranial volume larger than female cranial volume, consider this difference could be related to the physiological and gender factors; Huimale cranial volume greater than the cranial cavity volume whether males of Hannationality, ethnic factors, remains to be further studied; the Plateau Tibetan and HanHui youth cranial volume measurement accuracy, not only can establish PlateauTibetan and Han Hui the standard brain youth volume data, but also can cause the differences in the development of intracranial structure provides the basis ofstandardization of data processing for comparative analysis between national highaltitude hypoxia tolerance. PartⅡ:MRI measurement and comparative analysis of healthyyoung Plateau Native of Tibetan, Han and Hui people’s brainmorphology based on ArgusObjective: To measure healthy young Plateau Native of Tibetan, Han and Huipeople’s volume of pons, bilateral lentiform nucleus and dorsal thalamus and toestablish reference data of healthy young Plateau Native of Tibetan, Han and Huipeople. To comparatively analyze measured data and discover the differences. Methods:Using Siemens3.0T skyra MRI machines,30volunteers of each nation, among them45males and45females, ages range from18to22. Subjects received3D magnetization prepared gradient echo sequence T1WI image acquisition, theoriginal images were measured by Argus, the volume professional measurementsoftware, in Siemens3.0T skyra postprocessor. The structures includes: pons, bilateral lentiform nucleus and dorsal thalamus. All data were expressed by X±S. Themeasurement results using single factor analysis of variance and independent sample ttest. Results:1. Comparison among different nations: the volume of left lentiformnucleus of tibetan and hui people are bigger than han people’s; the volume of rightdorsal thalamus of tibetan people are bigger than han people’s.2. The volume of leftlentiform nucleus and dorsal thalamus of all nations of people are bigger than theright’s.3. Comparison between genders: the volume of pons of all the three nationspeople’s, the volume of bilateral putamen and dorsal thalamus of han people’s and thevolume of bilateral putamen of hui people’s, males’ are bigger than females’, thedifference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion:1.T1W1-3D-MPRAGEscan sequence can provide high-quality three-dimensional visualization of brainanatomy atlas that can clearly show the anatomy of intracranial.2. The normalvolume of left lentiform nucleus and dorsal thalamus of tibetan, han and hui young people’s are bigger than the right side, this maybe related that the subjects wereright-handed.3. The volume of pons of tibetan, han and hui males, the volume ofbilateral lentiform nucleus and dorsal thalamus of han males, and the volume ofbilateral lentiform nucleus of hui males are all bigger than females in counterparts. This maybe associated with physiological reasons of gender. There is no statisticaldifference in the volume of bilateral lentiform nucleus and dorsal thalamus of tibetanmales and females, and in the volume of bilateral dorsal thalamus of hui males. Thisdoesn’t seem to be associated with physiological reasons. The reason needs to befurther studied.4. The volume of the left lentiform nucleus of tibetan and hui people’sare bigger than the volume of han people’s, and the volume of the right dorsalthalamus of tibetan people’s are bigger than han people’s. Whether or not thedifference are related to ethnic factors is not clear so that it needs to be furtherstudied.
