Iron deficiency anemia is the iron storage can not meet the needs of normalerythropoiesis in the body, is one of the most common types of anemia. At present, themethod of detection of iron deficiency anemia mainly includes two aspects: blood pictureand bone marrow, have certain trauma. In this paper, it mainly studied a novel noninvasiveapproach to detect iron deficiency anemia, which is use of biological impedancetechnique.Biological impedance technology as a noninvasive detection technology has beenwidely used in clinical practice. According to the research content,this paper designedimpedance measurement system based on the characteristics of human body, and selectedAD5933as the impedance measurement chip. In order to study the feasibility of thedetection methods, we built the earlobe electrical impedance measurement model, andperformed the earlobe impedance measurement experiment by using the impedancemeasurement system. The subjects were divided into two groups, normal group andanemia group. We collected earlobe impedance of the two groups from1to100kHzfrequency, and got the impedance spectrum figure and characteristic parameters.According to the properties of the human earlobe impedance model, as the blood haslower resistivity compared to other organizations, it has the largest contribution to the totalexternal measurement impedance value. Consequently, it realized noninvasive detection ofthe blood impedance spectrum and characteristic parameters. On the basis of theelectrophysiology of significance impedance spectrum, we extracted blood electricalimpedance parameters among normal and patients with anemia, from the impedanceamplitude-frequency figure、the real part of impedance spectrum diagram、the imaginarypart of impedance spectrum diagram and Cole-Cole. Then we compared the difference ofblood impedance spectrum and characteristic parameters between the two groups, andconfirmed the difference though analysis.The experimental results show that, compared with the normal, the spectral line ofpatients with anemia in the impedance spectrum figure、the imaginary part of impedance spectrum and the real part impedance spectrum figure is lower, and Cole-Cole circlediagram area decreases. So in patients with anemia, the conductive ability increases, theinsulation reduces and impedance value is lower than normal. This is related to thehematocrit value, and the RDW is lower than normal, the shape of red blood cell isirregular after anemia. The experiments prove the feasibility of this method, the use ofbiological impedance technology is noninvasive to make initial detection on irondeficiency anemia.
