Objective To study the expression of LKB1、VEGFR2、ARK5on genesis anddevelopment of non-small cell lung cancer.Method The expression of LKB1、VEGFR2、ARK5was detected by the S-Pimmunohistochemistry method in50cases of non-small cell lung cancer and10cases ofnormal lung tissue adjacent to the tumors.Result (1)Expression of LKB1was found in NSCLC(62%) and normal lungtissue(100%).There was a significantly higher expression level of LKB1in normal lungtissue than that in NSCLC(p<0.05). Positive rates of VEGFR2and ARK5proteins inNSCLC were58%and60%.The expression level of VEGFR2and ARK5proteins inNSCLC was significantly higher than that in normal lung tissue(p<0.05),and noexpression of these two proteins was observed in normal lung tissue.(2)In NSCLC,theexpression of LKB1、VEGFR2、ARK5proteins has nothing to do with age,sex andhistological type.The positive expression of LKB1protein was significantly higher inwell-differentiated,without lymph node metastasis tissues and StageⅠ-ⅡNSCLC than thatin poorly differentiated,with Lymph node metastasis tissues and Stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ(p<0.05).(3)Expression of LKB1was negatively correlated with VEGFR2positively whilecorrelation between ARK5and VEGFR2is detected.Conclusion Expression of LKB1、VEGFR2、ARK5in NSCLC suggests that theymay play an important role in the development of NSCLC. The expression is closelyrelated with clinic pathological features. Expression of LKB1was negatively correlatedwith VEGFR2positively while correlation between ARK5and VEGFR2is detected.
